Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Oh, how the mediocre have fallen apart.
It was a tight one, but Running Wild ended its two game losing streak by just barely beating the cheesesteaks 87-84. The "Wild" started WR Donald Driver who was on a bye, but fortunately for Coach Caren, her team still managed to outscore the "cheeses."
BFL rookie Average Joes rolled over The Pan Troglodytes 87-69 and are now on a three game winning streak. For the second time this season, "The Trogs" reserve squad performed better than their starters who only scored 5 more points than the reserves. IADP is guessing that "The Trogs" owner Joey is on the banana phone right now getting offensive coach Lancelot Link to whip his boys into shape. Of course, Joey may need to call his defensive coach also, considering that his Jets defense has now let him down two weeks in a row.
In another impressive win for the week, The Dancers took down the i c chargers 113-90. The Dancers scored the second most points this week with a well balanced attack and a few great performances by WR's Nate Burleson and Larry Fitzgerald.
It's a sad day over at the DaBruDoggies headquarters. The "Doggies" had probably the worst week ever in BFL history in its 115-44 loss to the St. Louis Pandemic of Love. Not only were they the only team in their division not to win this week, but they now hold the BFL record for Least Points Scored By A Team and a Single Player.
The Dabalalas had powerful performances from both their starting and reserve QB's. And, the combination of the 31 points scored by QB Donovan McNabb and 18 by WR Brandon Marshall meant a 87-32 win against. . . oh, yeah, the Easy Wins.
It looks like The Bad-Ass Bug not only won the Battle of the In-Laws, but they defeated the last undefeated team in the league. In an impressive 112-82 win, "The Bug" ended their two game losing streak, set the new BFL record for Most Points Scored By A WR, and in the process, left The Good Kind of Limping Scrod hobbling off the field. IADP can't confirm this, but we're sure that the rest of the owners in the league are secretly raising a fist for "The Bug". Speaking of The Bad-Ass Bug, their owner, Dayton, is in our spotlight this week.
Spotlight:
Dayton, you were on a two game losing streak, then you beat the only remaining undefeated team by 30 points, a team that happens to be run by your sister-in-law. What was the mood like at The Bad-Ass Bug practice facility this week?
Monday morning head cheerleader Emily said to Coach Bug “Did we punk Aunt Andi this weekend or what?” to which Bug replied “Damn skippy Em”! It’s been an excellent week of practice so far despite the rain & crappy weather.
Management has their pubic hairs crossed in hopes of dancing off with another good showing & win this weekend.
Previews:
Hoping to capitalize on The Bad-Ass Bug's success, Running Wild takes on the mighty The Good Kind of Limping Scrod, who are coming off of their first loss this season. If the "Guru" has anything to say about it, "The Scrod" will be coming off of their second loss next week, as the "Wild" are heavily favored as of this posting.
We at IADP warned the BFL rookies about owner Jim and his Dabalalas back in Week 1. Well, it looks like the rookie Average Joes need to heed that warning. The "Las" are on a three game win streak and are heavily favored to win this week. "Joes" general manager Kevin has some front office work to do, as his only DST is on a bye.
Rookie coach Jill has made quite the splash in the BFL. Currently tied for third place alongside The Good Kind of Limping Scrod on the score leader board, her The Dancers take on The Bad-Ass Bug. The "Guru" has this game pretty even, and both coaches seemed to have handled the bye situation well.
The i c chargers are currently number two on the score leader board and hope to continue that pace as they travel to the cheesesteaks for a non-division match-up. Both teams seemed to have weathered the "bye week shuffle" well. This game looks to be fairly even, although the "cheeses" have a slight edge.
Our lucky team of the week could definitely use the break. The lowly DaBruDoggies, who are coming off of the worst loss in BFL history, get to take a breather as they face the confidence boosting Easy Wins. Of course, with owner Antonio's luck, the Easy Wins will probably end up having their best game ever and score 150 points.
Good luck all! See you next edition!

I hang my head in shame
Goddamn Tom Brady stole my high scorer record.
