Week 7

WHOA! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! WHAT A WEEK!

Week 6 Highlights:
It came down to Monday night's game, but the i c chargers managed to stay ever so slightly ahead of the cheesesteaks to beat them 107-101. The cheesesteaks needed their TE and K to score 24 points to overtake the "chargers." But, in the end, they came up 6 points short.

Last week, IADP suggested that The Pan Troglodytes whip their offense into shape. Well, it looks like coach Lancelot Link took out the whip, a mace, and a cat-of-nine tails, because his offense dominated the St. Louis Pandemic of Love. With excellent performances from both of "The Trogs'" RB's, two of their WR's, and their TE, the "Pandemic" didn't stand a chance in this 150-85 lopsided game. "The Trogs" have set the new BFL record for Most Points Scored by a Team.

The Average Joes made a good effort, but the Dabalalas were just too far ahead to catch up. With two players scoring in the 30's, the "Las", in their 135-99 win, have now tied with The Good Kind of Limping Scrod for Longest Winning Streak.

The Bad-Ass Bug won a tight game against The Dancers, 80-71. Unfortunately, The Dancers decided to start Redskins QB Jason Campbell, who was relieved of duty at halftime, instead of Eli Manning. That decision didn't really matter much as Manning only scored 8 more points than Campbell, which would have still given The Bad-Ass Bug a 1 point win.

The DaBruDoggies had two things going for them this past week. They played the Easy Wins and they got another great performance by QB Drew Brees who scored 38 points. The Easy Wins did get some points from WR Sidney Rice, but. . . well, the rest of the team did their usual.

In another lopsided victory, Running Wild ran all over The Good Kind of Limping Scrod 132-86. The big story here is the impressive 51 point performance by "Wild" QB Tom Brady who threw six touchdown passes and set the new BFL record for Most Points Scored by a QB and a Single Player. "The Scrod" are still on top of their division, and will have to fight to stay there as they are now on a two game losing streak. Speaking of The Good Kind of Limping Scrod, their owner, Andi, is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Andi, yours was the only BFL team to make it through the first four games without a loss this season, and you are currently tied for the longest winning streak. You have now lost two games in a row. Do you have a strategy for returning The Good Kind of Limping Scrod back to its early-season glory?

Ah, the Scrod have been limping hard the past couple weeks. We had the winning streak and the season looked good early on, but due to some really tough matchups, the mighty have fallen. I'm feeling a little less confident in my team, but it's my own fault. Due to my lack of attention early in the week, I've missed out on picking up some valuable players. Well, that's about to change. Maybe not in week 7, but definitely beyond that. I want to get us back to winning, and I'm going to make the effort. Look out for the Scrod...they won't be limping for long!

Previews:
The i c chargers will travel East to take on The Good Kind of Limping Scrod. The "Guru" has this game pretty even, and both teams are 4-2. The "chargers" are fighting to stay on top of the West Division. "The Scrod" are fighting to stay on top of the Central Division and get back to their winning ways. This game may come down to just sheer will.

Second year vet Running Wild is hosting The Bad-Ass Bug. It looks like The Bad-Ass Bug's general manager Dayton and Coach Bug have a little bit of front office work to take care of, including finding a replacement for K Rob Bironas who is on a bye. Even so, Running Wild looks to be the favorite in this match-up.

The ever-so-passive Dabalalas have a fairly even match-up with the DaBruDoggies. The "Las" star RB Maurice Jones-Drew is on a bye this week, which may end up giving a small boost of confidence to "Doggies" coach Antonio. General Manager Jim currently has K Josh Scobee starting, who happens to be on a bye this week, but IADP is guessing that the "Las" front office isn't worried about fixing that and will probably end up winning the game by a huge margin.

Scoring leader St. Louis Pandemic of Love have another fight ahead of them as they host the Average Joes. With his current record of 3-3, being at .500 is foreign territory for "Love" Coach Ryan, who has never had anything but winning records in his history in the BFL. "Joes" Coach Kevin is looking to change that streak. After some front office work, he will most likely be slightly favored to win this game.

Three weeks ago, cheesesteaks Coach Kurt mentioned in an interview that he has been "adjusting to get it right." Well, Kurt's adjustments may have let him down, as he is on a two game losing streak. This week, it looks like his adjustments might just work out after all, as he is heavily favored to beat the visiting The Dancers. Unfortunately, it doesn't help that Coach Jill has to deal with injured WR Jerricho Cotchery, who most likely won't be playing.

The Pan Troglodytes WR Torry Holt is out on a bye. Fortunately for Coach Joey, he is our lucky owner of the week as he takes on the oh-so-powerful Easy Wins. After the "Trogs" BFL record breaking performance last week, this game will be a piece of cake.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
