Week 15: Playoffs

Some interesting playoff scenarios going on in the league. Two two-time Kibble Bowl champions have made it to the semifinals and will face the winningest team ever in the BFL and a team trying to become the first rookie team ever to go all the way.

Week 14 Highlights:
An unbelievable finish between the ic chargers and Pandemic of Love. The icees were only behind by 4 points going into the Monday night game with one player, WR Cooks, yet to play. Cooks had scored less than 4 points only four times this season. But, he couldn't get it done, causing the chargers to lose to the Pandemic 113-112. This was the Love's 3rd best game of the season thanks to a running game that combined for 2 TDs and 217 rushing yards. The Pandemic also benefited from a 2 TD game by QB Rivers, one of which being a 75 yarder for a bonus 2. The icees themselves benefited from a couple of bonus, WR Brown's 200+ REC yards and QB Keenum's 52 yard TD pass. One could point to a few reasons why the icees lost this one. Keenum's 2 INTs. RB Martin's FUM. But, probably the biggest heartbreaker for the icees was benched QB Prescott, who threw 3 TD passes, two of which being 50+ yarders for 4 bonus points.

It was a fairly low-scorer between the Half Smokes and Bad Ass Weazels with the Weazels eliminating the Smokies 89-79. There were few breakout performances in the game. Highlights included Weazels RB Hunt and his TD and 138 total yards and a TD by WR Funchess. Smokies highlights include RB Gore's 140 total yards and WR Bryant's TD and 73 yards.

Playoff Preview:

Bad Ass Weazels (#3)  vs   Manassholes (#1)

There's a lot on the line in the matchup between the Bad Ass Weazels and Manassholes. The Weazels are trying to become the first BFL team to win the league three times. The M-holes are trying to be the first rookie team to make it to the Kibble Bowl (the best finish for a rookie so far was third place by the Mighty Long Dogs in 2010). The Weazels have quite a battle this week. They'll face an M-holes team that is on a 6 game win streak, and that averaged 109 points in their last four games. The Weazels have averaged 96. Both teams have a couple of players' statuses up in the air. Neither can afford to lose a player. One thing is for sure in this game. One of these teams is going to open up a can of Whoop Ass. The other is going to get their Ass kicked. This is going to be one big Ass game!

Lancelot Links (#2)  vs  Pandemic of Love (Wildcard)

The Pandemic of Love and the Lancelot Links also have a lot at stake. Much like the Bad Weazels, the Pandemic are also trying to become the first three-time champion. But, they have to go through a tough Links team to get there. As we've stated in the past, the Links have never had a losing season. They've made it to the playoffs every year, including finishing 3rd in 2011, '13, '14, and '15, and runner up last season. And, they won the top scorer title for the fourth time this season. The Links are fortunate in that they have marquee TE Gronkowski back after a one game suspension that happened to occur during their first round Bye. We at IADP aren't going to lie, we expect this one to be a hard fight for the Love.

Good luck playoff teams! See you next edition!
