Week 16: KIBBLE BOWL XI

Our stonemason is standing by to etch a new name into the BFL Wall Of Champions! Is it going to be the Lancelot Links? Is it going to be the Bad Ass Weazels? Both teams battled it out for fifteen weeks, taking down ten other teams to get here. And, both teams deserve to be here. But, only one can hoist the Kibble Bowl Trophy.

Week 15 Highlights:
The Lancelot Links made easy work of the Pandemic of Love, and there are three reasons why. Newton, Gurley, and Gronkowski. Those three players alone put up 97 combined points, outscoring the entire Pandemic lineup. QB Newton threw 4 TD passes for 38 total points. RB Gurley put up 4 combined TDs and 180 total yards for 41 points. TE Gronkowski caught 168 yards and scored a 2 PT conversion for 18 points. The rest of the team did just OK. The Pandemic had a few strong performances, including 2 TDs and 96 combined yards by RB McCoy, a TD by WR Evans, and a Jaguars DEF that held their opponents to just 7 points. Even with an optimized lineup, the Love wouldn't have taken this one. They lost to the Links 132-93.

The Manassholes fought hard, but they couldn't stand up to the Bad Ass Weazels, losing 126-101. The M-holes saw their strongest performance by their Ravens DST who held their opponents to 10 points, intercepted twice and returned a FUM for a TD. The team also saw single TDs from WR Goodwin, RB Drake, and a passing one from QB Ryan. But, they were no match for the Weazels, thanks to RB Hunt's 2 combined TDs and 200+ combined yards for 32 points, and 100+ yards and a TD for 17 points by TE Olsen. QB Stafford helped also with 2 TDs. And, the team benefited from 3 sacks and 3 INTs from their Bills DEF. This was definitely a heartbreaker for the M-holes when you look at the potential points that were left on the bench. But, as far as we at IADP know, none of the owners in the BFL own crystal balls.

KIBBLE BOWL XI

vs

Bad Ass Weazels         Lancelot Links

This is a first for the BFL. For the first time ever, we have a Kibble Bowl rematch. Last year's champion, the Bad Ass Weazels, are facing last year's runner up, Lancelot Links. This game is also huge because a win for the Weazels would make them the league's first three time Kibble Bowl champion. Equally huge is the chance for the Links, arguably the league's most winningest team, to win their first ever BFL championship.

Both teams are fairly equal. The Weazels have averaged 107 points since week 9. The Links have averaged 115. The Weazels have the #3 RB. The Links have the #1. The Links, however, may have a slight edge with #2 kicker, Gostkowski, and #1 TE Gronkowski. Also, being one of only two original owners who hasn't won the trophy, we're guessing owner Joey is hungry for the title. Comparisons have been made to the 90s Buffalo Bills, a team that dominated four seasons in a row and went to the Superbowl all four of those seasons, but didn't win the title. Comparisons can also be made between the Bad Ass Weazels, the 2013 and 2016 winner, and the Patriots.

The Guru has the Bad Asses slightly ahead of the Links. We at IADP think this is going to be a tight, high-scoring matchup.

Good luck Bad Ass Weazels and Lancelot Links! And, Happy Holidays to all! See you next edition!
