Week 9

IADP's spy reporters got some aerial footage of a DaBruDoggies practice session this week.

Week 8 Highlights:
The Dancers just can't catch a break. They scored their second highest points of the season, but were still trounced by our high-scorer of the week, The Bug. The Bug had four players who scored over 21 points, QB Keenum, RB Elliott, and WR Richardson, all of whom scoring 2 TDs. Then there was WR Hopkins who not only scored a TD, but put up 224 receiving yards for a bonus 2. The Dancers had some strong performances themselves. RB Gordon and WR Jeffery both found the endzone and put up double digits. And, their Panthers defense put up 3 sacks and a couple of INTs, as well as holding their opponents to just 3 points. But, it just wasn't the Dancers day, as they lost to The Bug 140-106.

The Love Supremes also drew the bad luck card, losing to the Bad Ass Weazels 92-67. The reason for the loss? TDs. . . or lack their of. RB Kamara was the only ball carrier to score one. And, the only other TD on the team came by way of a TD pass by QB Brady. The Supies receivers were also somewhat light on the receiving yardage. The Weazels were also kinda light on TDs. QB McCown was the only player on offense to put up TDs. And, oddly enough, the only other TD came by way of their Chiefs DST. That TD, along with 3 sacks, 3 INTs, and 2 FUM RECs resulted in an impressive 31 points by their defense. More than enough to seal the win for the Bad Asses.

The Dabalalas were ahead by 34 points going into Monday night. They still had WR Hill to play. The Half Smokes still had RB Anderson, TE Kelce, and K Butker to play. Unfortunately for the Las, Hill managed only 1 point after he threw an INT, negating 2 of the 3 points he would have finished the game with. Also, unfortunate for the Las, Smokies TE Kelce caught 133 receiving yards and a TD. Even more unfortunate for the Las, Smokies K Butker had a great game with 5 FGs, one of which being a 50+ yarder for a bonus 2. It was a heartbreaker for the Dabalalas, losing to the Half Smokes 119-109.

The Pandemic were so close. They were only behind by 9 points going into the Monday night game with WR Thomas yet to play. But, Thomas wasn't able to lift the team enough. Thus, the Pandemic lost to the Manassholes 97-94. The M-holes should probably thank their Ravens DST for the win since their offense was outscored by the Pandemic's offense. The M-holes defense not only shut out their opponents, but they scored 2 TDs as well as a couple of INTs and 3 sacks. Also, QB Ryan threw 2 TDs, although he was held back some by 2 lost fumbles.

Password is Taco ended their three game losing streak by taking out the ic chargers who were on a three game win streak. It was all about passing and defense for the Tacos. QB Wilson put up a monster 4 TD passes by way of 452 passing yards. Also impressive was the Taco defense who held their opponent to just 10 points and recorded a TD and 4 sacks. For the ic chargers, they may have been let down by QB Prescott who had is worst game of the season. Although, it wasn't totally his fault as he played in the rain, and thus, handed the ball off for most of the game. We at IADP don't like to throw around the would've could've should've cliché too often, but we couldn't help but notice the 42 points left on the bench by backup QB Watson. The result, a 115-91 win for the Tacos.

An unbelievable finish between the Lancelot Links and the DaBruDoggies. The Links were ahead by 13 points going into the Sunday night game. The Brus still had one player to go, K Prater. The Doggies late-game pickup managed to close the gap and then some, accounting for the Lions only points, 5 FGs, one of which being a 50+ yarder for a bonus 2. Prater wasn't the only Bru to excel. WR Fuller put up an impressive 2 TDs and 125 receiving yards. It wasn't a bad game for the Links. Their DST put up a TD of their own. TE Gronkowski posted his fifth TD of the season. And, K Gostkowski put up a decent effort with 4 FGs. The Links were definitely hindered by a lack of TDs from their RBs.

Spotlight:
IADP reporters traveled to Lancelot Link Inc. to interview owner Joey about the Links dropping two in a row. We're guessing that the Links coaching staff were too busy holding extra practices and studying game film because they never let us in the front door of their practice facility.

Game Of The Week Preview:

The Bug front office has been very busy in the Free Agent Market. They've made over twice as many adds as any other team in the league. It's paid off somewhat. The Buggers are over .500. They've scored the most points on offense. And, they've scored 100 or more in four of their last five games. So, this will be a tough one for the Lancelot Links.

Unfortunately, the Links are without two of their star players, TE Gronkowski and K Gostkowski. Both are on Byes. Fortunately, they have RB Gurley, one of the best RBs in the NFL, in the starting lineup. The Lances are going to need to rely on him. And, QB Newton has been so so these past two games, part of the reason the Links lost their last two. That needs to change. Newton averaged 30 points in Weeks 4 through 6. He's got to get back to those numbers this week to put the Links over.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
