Week 6

Week 5 Highlights:
The Pandemic of Love were behind 75-82 going into Monday night. Both the Pandemic and the Dabalalas had one player yet to play, RB Howard for the Las and the Vikings DST for the Love. The Las already had good numbers by QB Winston and his 300+ passing yards, TE Ertz and his TD catch, and an impressive 4 FGs by K Vinatieri, including a bonus 4 for his 2 50+ yarders. The Pandemic already had good numbers by QB Rivers 3 TD passes and a TD by both RB Lynch and TE Graham. But, it was their Vikings defense, which held the Bears to 15 points in the Monday night game, that put the Love over, beating the Las 93-89.

The high scorer of the week was The Bug who dominated the Love Supremes 126-75. Bug QB Rodgers had a great day throwing 3 TD passes along with WR Hopkins who caught 3 TD passes. And, K Butker successfully kicked 5 FGs. On the other side of the ball, things didn't look as good for the Supies. QB Brady was off with only 1 TD pass and an INT. The Lovers also suffered a major blow, losing WR Beckham for the season after suffering a fractured ankle. Although, he did give the Supies their only TD amongst their ball carriers before he left the game.

The DaBruDoggies had their best game of the season. But, that means nothing. They lost their fourth game of the season and reign as the league's only winless team. Taking them out in Week 5 was the second place Half Smokes. The Smokies had a strong game thanks to their receivers, three of which who scored TDs. Their defense was also strong with a couple of sacks and INTs and 3 recovered FUMs. For the Brus, they got a monster effort out of RB Fournette who rushed for 180+ yards and 2 TDs. And, WR Adams caught a couple of TDs. It wasn't a bad game for the Brus, but luck was not on their side. Not only did they have to face the powerful Half Smokes, but they lost two players to injuries during the game.

The Lancelot Links had their worst game of the season. But, it didn't matter. They trounced Password is Taco 94-67. The Links started TE Gronkowski even though he was inactive due to a thigh injury and had no backup to fill in. It didn't really affect the outcome of the game seeing that the Tacos running game didn't get much going. Also, Tacos TE Engram was non-existent with no receptions. And, their Raiders DST allowed 24 points and didn't produce any turnovers. For the Links, it was the Newton show. The QB threw over 350 yards and 3 TDs. Also, solid efforts by K Gostkowski and their Jets DST more than made up for the Links front office misstep.

Another unfortunate outing for the Dancers in their 85-63 loss to the Manassholes. RB Gordon was on fire, scoring 2 TDs and over 160 combined yards. And, WR Landry found the endzone. But, the rest of the team wasn't much help. None of the other ball carriers scored more than 3 points. And, QB Roethlisberger threw an awful 5 INTs. The M-holes did better thanks to their Ravens defense that recorded 3 sacks and a fumble returned for a TD. Also, RB Mixon, WR Crabtree, and TE Rudolph each scored TDs.

The ic chargers passing game was on fire last week. QB Prescott threw for an impressive 251 yards and 3 TDs. And, even though he was on the bench, we have to point out the 5 TD game by backup Watson. The only missteps for the icees were TE Lewis' 14 yards and WR Diggs' 4 yards. It also didn't help that RB Rawls didn't see a whole lot of yardage. Their opponent, the Bad Ass Weazels had a more even output. Their bright spot was their DST that returned a TD and recorded 3 sacks, although they were held back some as they allowed 24 points. But, thanks to chargers QB Prescott, the icees took this one 107-96.

Speaking of the ic chargers, owner Mike is in our Game Of The Week Spotlight.

Spotlight:
Mike, our statisticians have noticed this season that if the ic chargers score more than 100 points in a game, they win that game. Can you keep that stat going? What will the icees do to score 100 in Week 6? And, will it be enough to topple your Game Of The Week opponent, The Bug?

We need our wide receiver to step up. If they have big games we score 100 plus. Also need to limited the Bugs QB A Rogers to a short passes and no touchdowns.

Game Of The Week Preview:

There is some question this week for the ic chargers WRs. Cooks hasn't found the endzone in a couple of weeks. Diggs' health status is up in the air. And, Brown could be affected by QB Roethlisberger's loss of steam lately, although the Steelers do have a favorable matchup against the Chiefs defense. The icees need to jump on that matchup.

The Bug have been on fire lately, scoring 126 points two weeks in a row. Their best course of action? Keep up the fire. Win or lose, they'll stay atop the Saint Bernard Division.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
