Week 4 Highlights:
After a slow start to the season, the Pandemic of Love have won their second game in a row, beating the Bad Ass Weazels 103-87. The Pandemic benefited from a bonus 2 points thanks to a 75 yard TD pass by QB Rivers. Their DST was also solid with a TD and 5 sacks. After scoring 100+ in the first three weeks of the season, the Weazels had a setback that can be attributed to QB Stafford who only managed a 2 point conversion. The Asses put up some good efforts. RB Hunt recorded 120+ yards, WR Funchess put up a couple of TDs, and a TD by their Chiefs defense kept things somewhat competitive.
After three losses in a row, the Dabalalas came on strong. Highlights included a monster 34 points by QB Winston who benefited by a bonus 2 for his 28 yard TD pass. And, RB Bell was on fire, rushing for 140+ yards, receiving 42 more, and finding the endzone twice. RB Howard was also solid with a TD all his own. It was a great week for ic chargers QB Prescott who, despite throwing an INT, put up an impressive 3 TD passes. RB Cook found the endzone, but his fumble held his score back some. And, other than WR Diggs' 98 yards, the rest of the team didn't get a whole lot done. The Dabalalas took this one 113-70.
It was a high scorer between the Half Smokes and The Bug. For the Smokies, it was all about the air attack. Three of the their receivers scored double digits. And, QB Dalton put up a massive 37 points thanks to his 4 TD passes, one of which being a 61 yarder for a bonus 2. Also, their Seahawks DST dominated the Colts with 2 TDs and 3 sacks. The Bug had an equally impressive 4 TD effort by QB Rodgers. Also impressive was RB Elliot's 2 total TDs and almost 140 total yards. And, K Dawson's was strong with 4 FGs, including a bonus 50 yarder. But, in the end, it was probably the Smokies defense that put them over the top, helping the Half Smokes win 137-126.
Once again, the DaBruDoggies couldn't get it done, losing to the Love Supremes 105-87. The Supies won thanks to a great running effort by RB Miller and his 2 total TDs. And, their DST had a good effort thanks to 4 sacks and a couple of INTs. For the Brus, they are experiencing their worst start ever. Looking at their score last week, it's no surprise. Their WRs combined for only 1 TD. Their K had a whopping 2 extra points. And, once again, they had a RB that just didn't produce. There were a couple of positives. TE Clay managed over 110 REC yards. RB Fournette was strong with a TD and over 140 total yards. And, QB Brees didn't have his best game, but his turnover-free effort gave him a decent score.
Chalk up another win for the Lancelot Links. It was a pretty lopsided win with the Links more than doubling the Manassholes, 113-47. The M-holes offense sputtered with only QB Ryan putting up a TD. It also didn't help that their DST allowed 26 points. For the Lances, it was all about the ground game which combined for almost 180 yards. And, RB Gurley added another 9 points thanks to his 94 REC yards. WR Pryor was the soul receiver to reach the endzone. And, recently released DaBruDoggies K Gostkowski had a huge game which included a bonus 2 points for his 58 yarder.
The biggest disappointment for Password is Taco was RB Thompson who was dominated by the Chiefs defense. But, it doesn't matter. The Tacos still managed to beat the Dancers 99-88. The Tacos overcame their weak running game thanks to QB Wilson's 3 total TDs and WRs Nelson and Hogan's combined 3 TDs. For the Dancers, it was all about the DST who scored a TD and put up 4 INTs for a total 32 points. The Dancers downfall was their RBs who only scored 5 total points thanks to only 51 total rushing yards.
Speaking of the Dancers, owner Jill is in our Game Of The Week Spotlight.
Spotlight:
Jill, your front office has been pretty quiet so far. Especially, when compared to our rookies this season. Are you confident enough in your lineup or are we likely to see a trip to the Free Agent Market? Also, you're facing the Manassholes this week, a team that, much like the Dancers, has dropped their last two in a row. Can the Dancers give the M-holes their third?
The Dancers are confident in their lineup and have increased rehearsal intensity. The points and wins will begin to add up from now on! Break a leg to the M-holes, but prepare for a loss.
Game Of The Week Preview:
The Dancers will face a Manassholes team that will likely be fired up after losing their last two games after a strong start to the season. The M-holes RBs have some favorable matchups and will need to take advantage of them. They'll also need to improve on the receiving squad, as they've been fairly nonexistent over the past couple of weeks.
The Dancers chances look decent. There is a question of QB Mariota's availability after a hamstring injury. And, backup Roethlisberger has been so so over the last two weeks. Their running game will need to step up. Another performance like last week's 5 point total won't help the Dancers score the W. Also, the Dancers defense has a tough matchup as it faces the NFL's only undefeated team, the Chiefs.
Good luck all! See you next edition!
