Week 15: Playoffs

The excitement continues as we enter the semifinals. The Lancelot Links and Love Supremes enjoyed a week's rest and should be poised to continue their dominance of the league. But, there are a couple of early season underdogs that want to put them in their place.

We're two weeks away. Will your favorite team make it to the big game?!

Week 14 Highlights:
The Dancers do it again with a third dominant game in a row, this time eliminating the Killer Bunnies 144-91. Much of the Dancers recent success has been in direct relation to QB Wilson who scored over 40 points for a third consecutive game thanks to his 5 TD passes. The Dancers DST also dominated with 5 sacks, 2 Int's, and 2 Fum Rec's, while keeping their opponent scoreless. Also, all of the Dancers receivers found the endzone, as well as RB Lacy. For the Bunnies, QB Rodgers put up his usual decent effort. RB Stewart scored a TD, WR Snead gained a whole lot of yardage, and, their Jets DST kept their opponent's score low. But, with the rest of the team scoring in single digits, this was practically a runaway for the Dancers.

It wasn't a runaway for the DaBruDoggies, but they managed to eliminated the Mighty Long Dogs 102-82. Things were looking grim for the Brus early in the game with most of the team producing few stats. But, late in the game, TE Barnidge stepped up with a TD and their receivers put up some yardage. Two of the Longdogs receivers put up TD's. And, K McManus accounted for all of his teams' 12 points. But, the game ball definitely went to Brus QB Bortles who threw 3 TD's passes, one of which being a bonus 80 yarder, and ran one in just before the two minute warning.

Playoff Preview:

The Lancelot Links and the DaBruDoggies ended the regular season with similar records, but their win/loss stats are a little misleading. The Links averaged 122 points per game. The Brus averaged  97.

If the Brus want a chance at lifting the trophy, they'll need to step up huge. Their runners will have to do way better than they have in the past two weeks. Their WR's haven't put up consistent big numbers this season. That will have to change also. TE Barnidge has had a breakout season and will need to continue his strong play.

The Links had a MINOR misstep in their last game. We emphasize the word minor because they still scored 96 points. There's isn't much advice you can give to a team that has stayed consistently toward the top of the league other than to just keep doing what their doing.

The matchup between the Love Supremes and the Dancers may just be the game that all of us over at IADP might be watching intently. Much like the Lancelot Links, the Supies have stayed consistently at the top of the league. The Dancers had to climb their way up. And, once they made it to the mountain top, they ran with it.

This one is going to be tough to predict. Even the NFL Guru has the teams about even. The only thing we can say is sit back and enjoy the ride. This should be an emotional roller coaster.

Good luck playoff teams! See you next edition!
