Week 12

Happy Gobble Gobble!

Week 11 Highlights:
Somehow the Killer Bunnies didn't realize that their kicker was on a Bye. But, it didn't matter. They still outscored the DaBruDoggies 95-88. The Bunnies made up for their incomplete roster with a strong effort by RB Stewart. Also, they saw practically no production from WR Austin and TE Green. But, WR Hopkins more than made up for their deficiencies with 100+ yards and 2 TD's. Plus, RB Bernard was more like a receiver than a runner, as he put up 128 Rec yards and only 18 rushing. The standouts for the Brus include RB McFadden who, despite not reaching the endzone, put up a strong 14 points thanks to his 129 rushing yards. Also, their Falcons DST kept Brus within reach with a strong game.

By beating the ic chargers 79-73, the Pandemic of Love have put the chargers playoff chances in jeopardy. Both teams scored about the same. They both had two players who scored no points. Their receivers combined scores were within 3 points of eachother. Both of their defenses scored 16. And, they both had only one RB that had any production. Fortunately for the Pandemic, McCoy scored a TD, outscoring icees RB Woodhead by 8 points, possibly resulting in the Pandemic's win.

Unbelievable! The Love Supremes have lost their third game in a row, and in the process, scored their lowest point total of the season. The Supies played the game with RB Lynch in the starting lineup despite having been ruled Inactive for the game. We'd like to say that that caused the loss. But, the truth is, even if Supies backup RB Freeman had started, his 4 points wouldn't have made a difference. Also, the team as a whole had a lackluster game. Even QB Brady scored under 20 points for the first time this season. The Mighty Long Dogs didn't have a stellar game either. But, all players did put up points, enough to outscore the Love Supremes 77-67.

Things were starting to look grim for the Half Smokes, having lost four in a row since week 6 and dropping from 3rd place to 5th in that time period. But, they've kept their playoff chances alive thanks to a 87-82 win over the Dabalalas. Unfortunately for the Smokies, only two players recorded any TD's, QB Romo and WR Bryant. Fortunately, for the Smokies, The Las only got double digits from two players, WR Jones and their Texans DST. Neither team saw a lot of action from their runners. And, it was probably Las QB Cutler who lost the game for them. Cutler recorded no TD's and threw an Int and lost a fumble.

A major heartbreaker for the Dancers. They lost to the Lancelot Links by 1 point. 1 single point. 1 measly point. This was a tight one going into the Monday night game. With two players left to play, versus a single player for the Links, and with 2 points separating the teams, this game was well within reach for the Dancers. But, RB Williams managed only a single point, and WR Watkins only 3. Not enough to outscore Links TE Gronkowski's 3 points. The Dancers fall to the Lances 99-98. We at IADP have to confess that we were all huddled around the television up until the final whistle waiting to see if the Dancers were going to pull off the upset.

Not only did the Cheesesteaks beat the Bad Ass Weazels 103-92, but they seriously put a damper on the Weazels playoff chances. For the Weazels, QB Newton was on fire with his best game of the season thanks to his 5 TD passes. Other than TE Olsen, there wasn't huge numbers from the rest of the team. For the Steaks, their Chiefs DST had a big game with a TD and only 3 points allowed. Also contributing to the win was K Crosby 5 field goals, one of which being a bonus 52 yarder.

Playoff Picture:
The 8-3 Lancelot Links, at 1st place and at the top of the scoring leaderboard, have already solidified their playoff spot. And, barring anything unusual happening, they'll likely have a first round Bye.

The 7-4 Love Supremes have pretty much punched their playoff ticket. Although, their first round Bye is hanging in the balance with three teams (Half Smokes, DaBruDoggies, and Killer Bunnies) right on their tails.

The 6-5 Half Smokes, DaBruDoggies, and Killer Bunnies (3rd, 4th, and 5th place respectively) are currently in the playoff hunt. But, they are by no means a lock. Since the league is in the final division stretch, and since they are in the same division, they have to play each other in these final two games. They can't possibly end the season tied with the same record as they are currently.

The 5-5-1 ic chargers are teetering on the final playoff spot. They must win these last two regular season games to keep that spot or even improve upon it. That single tie game back in week 1 may end up making a huge impact one way or the other.

The 5-6 Mighty Long Dogs, Bad Ass Weazels, Cheesesteaks, and Dancers are all right at the doorstep. Any one of them can win out these last two games and, along with a loss or two from higher up in the rankings, receive a late season bump.

The 4-7 Dabalalas and 3-7-1 Pandemic of Love are both pretty much playing for pride at this point.

Game Of The Week:

This game has huge playoff implications. The Mighty Long Dogs need this win if they want any chance of making it to the playoffs. The ic chargers must win to keep that final spot.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
