Week 11

Three more weeks until the playoffs. And, other than the Lancelot Links and Love Supremes, there's a whole lot of uncertainty about who else will make it. The Mighty Long Dogs fell slightly below the playoff threshold. The Killer Bunnies and Dancers are right at the door. And, there are a whole host of teams who, with enough wins or losses, are making the playoff picture hard to paint.

The BFL! You gotta love it!

Week 10 Hightlights:
The Mighty Long Dogs lose to their cross-house rivals, the Killer Bunnies 94-83. The Longdogs had a so so game with WR Decker being the only ball handler other than QB Tannehill to produce a TD. Not to mention, K McManus was given only one chance to contribute with a single extra point. We didn't see huge numbers from the Bunnies. But, with QB Rodgers' 2 TD's, TE Hopkins' TD, and a lot of successful opportunities for K Brown, it's easy to see why they won this matchup. The Longdogs were knocked down to 9th place on the leaderboard, jeopardizing their playoff hopes.

The Half Smokes end their four game losing skid with a 110-76 win over the Bad Ass Weazels. The win was all thanks to some excellent front office work by the Smokies and a late-week pickup of QB Cousins who had his best game ever with 4 TD passes, one of which being a bonus 78 yarder. The Smokies also saw strong efforts from WR's Bryant and Fitzgerald who combined for over 300 yards. For the Weazels, they did well by QB Newton and his 2 TD's. But, they got no production from RB Andrews and WR Snead.

The recent success of the Cheesesteaks came to an end with a 97-93 loss to the Dabalalas. The Steaks scored most of their points with their receiving squad, specifically WR's Floyd and Hurns, who combined for 3 TD's and 175 total yards. The Las scored most of theirs with their passing game. QB Cutler had his best game of the season with 3 passing TD's, two of which (an 87 and an 83 yarder) resulting in a bonus 4 points. Both teams saw solid efforts from their DST's.

The DaBruDoggies can thank their Bills DST for their win over the Love Supremes. The squad was impressive with a TD and a couple of Int's and fumbles. QB Brees didn't have his best game of the season, but his only TD passes were to Brus WR Cooks, one of which being a bonus 60 yarder. Obviously, this wasn't the Supies best game. As a matter of fact, this was, by far, their worst of the season after averaging 133 points up until week 10. Despite the 122-87 loss, the Supies have solidified their playoff prospects, although they were knocked out of 1st place by the Lancelot Links. The Brus, currently in 3rd place, increased their playoff prospects after a steady six week climb from 11th place.

The Lancelot Links continue their high-scoring ways with a 134-97 win over the Pandemic of Love. The Links big score came by way of RB Peterson who had a monster game, his best of the season, with a TD and 200+ rushing yards, earning him a bonus 2. QB Palmer had another big game with 3 TD's. The Pandemic also had a successful QB effort with Manning putting up 361 passing yards and 2 TD's, one of which being a bonus 87 yarder. And, their DST did well with a TD Ret. But, of course, it takes a lot more than that to beat the Links, who took first place with this win.

The Dancers have been unstoppable of late, They beat the ic chargers 99-85, their fourth win in a row. QB Flacco was the top earner for the Dancers with 3 passing TD's, although his 2 Int's held him back some. There weren't any huge numbers by the rest of the team, but two of their receivers found the endzone, as well as RB Williams. The chargers saw decent numbers from RB Blount and their Bengals DST. And, WR Brown had a huge game with 2 TD's and a 2 point conversion. But, there's one main reason the icees lost this one, QB Manning. Manning had one of the worst games ever with only 35 passing yards and 4 Int's. His -7 points broke the BFL record for least points scored by a single player. Pandemic of Love owner Ryan pointed out to IADP that Manning now has the record for both most and least points by a single player.

Dancers owner Jill is in our spotlight.

Spotlight:
Four in a row! The Dancers are on fire. What did you say to your team back in Week 7 to get them so fired up to win their next four games? And, next you'll face the 1st place Lancelot Links. We know you've got some serious dance moves planned for the Links. How well will you perform them?

We have had a rough time putting up decent numbers this season. Maybe we need to give up the Electric Slide and Macarena and acquire some modern dance moves. We have been working on some new moves that will take the Links down. They may be the number one team at this point, but The Dancers are moving up. Watch out, Secret Chimp, here we come!

Game Of The Week Preview:

Our game of the week is sort of a David and Goliath tale. The Dancers matchup against the Lancelot Links will be their second true test in a row. The Links have ranked no lower than 3rd place for the entire season so far. They've managed the Bye Week Shuffle this week. And, for the most part, they are OK injury wise. RB Peterson was limited in practice but it doesn't seem to be a major issue.

The Dancers are going to have to push hard on all fronts to win this one. They've won four in a row, but their average point total in those four weeks (96) is well below the Links (135). As we stated in this post's opening, the Dancers are at the playoff doorstep. A win this week could result in one foot in.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
