Week 8

Six more weeks left. Six more weeks left to show what you've got. Six more weeks left to dig out of that hole. Six more weeks left to make it to the playoffs. Six more weeks left until six teams head home. Six more weeks left to take down the Mighty Love Supremes.

Week 7 Highlights:
After a small setback in Week 6, the Lancelot Links had no trouble beating the Killer Bunnies 128-71. After averaging 101 points per game since Week 3, the Bunnies came down hard. QB McCown left the game with a shoulder injury, although he fumbled twice and didn't produce any TD's before he left. And, other than TE Green, their receivers weren't very productive. The Links did pretty evenly on all sides of the ball. WR Boldin was the only Link who barely showed up.

The Bad Ass Weazels couldn't get it done, losing to the ic chargers 92-82. It didn't help that QB Newton threw 3 Int's. And, there were no TD's scored by any of their runners or receivers. Their Seahawks DST kept them in the game with 6 sacks and only 3 points allowed. The chargers did well by RB Woodhead who caught 2 TD passes (IADP admits that we were totally wrong on our prediction for Woodhead last edition). QB Bridgewater also had a decent game with 2 TD passes.

The Cheesesteaks won their second game in a row and had their best game of the season. They faced a Pandemic of Love team that is experiencing a woeful season. While the Steaks had their best of the season, the Pandemic, on the other hand, had their worst. The two bright spots for the Love was WR Evan's 22 points and 7 sacks by their Vikings DEF. The Steaks didn't get a lot out of QB Ryan, but much of the rest of the team stepped up, scoring in double digits.

A well deserved win for the Dancers as they edge out the DaBruDoggies, 102-89. The Dancers receivers were on point with three of the four scoring TDs' and putting up double digits. The Brus had injury issues with WR Jackson leaving the game with a knee injury. Also, RB Foster left the game with a torn achilles, although he was on fire before he left with 2 TD's and over 120 total yards. It looks like the Brus will have to do some front office work as Foster will be out for the rest of the season. This win ends the Dancers four game losing streak and moves them up 2 positions in the league standings.

The Mighty Long Dogs had their best game of the season against the Half Smokes. Smokies QB Luck had his second great game in a row with 31 points, which included a bonus 2 for an 87 yard TD. And, RB Yeldon had a decent game with 100+ rushing yards and a TD. The Longdogs were on fire thanks to the likes of RB Ingram and his 20 points and a Rams DST that held their opponent to 6 points and scored a TD. But, the MVP of the game was Dogs QB Tannehill who threw 4 TD's, three of which being 50+ yarders which resulted in 6 bonus points. IADP doesn't keep records for most bonus points scored, but we're pretty sure that that has never happened before in the BFL. That bonus 6 helped the Longdogs crush the Halfsies 147-94.

For the second week in a row, the Dabalalas played without a QB in place. Starter Taylor was injured back in Week 6 and sat out his second game in a row, and backup Cutler was on a Bye. They also played with one less WR as starter Jones and backups Cobb and Adams were on Byes. So, it's no surprise that they lost to the Love Supremes 109-76. The funny thing is, this was the Supies worst game of the season, well below their 139 point average. But, it didn't really matter much since they weren't really challenged in this game.

Game of the Week Preview:

There's nothing significant about our Week 8 game of the week. But, we thought we'd focus on the team that will face the juggernaut that is the Love Supremes.

The Bad Ass Weazels have a huge task ahead of them. They'll be facing the #1 ranked QB (Brady), the #1 ranked RB (Freeman), the # ranked K (Gostkowski), and the #1 ranked DST (Broncos). We're not quite sure how owner Lori ended up with such a premier team. But, someone has to take them down. And, the Weazels are at bat.

The keys to a Weazels win? Touchdowns. Field goals. Touchdowns. Sacks. Touchdowns. Interceptions. Oh. . , and Touchdowns.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
