Week 6 Highlights:
After five long weeks, the Cheesesteaks finally found victory with a 90-81 win over the ic chargers. The Steaks didn't see a lot of ground production. Their runners accounted for only 12 points. But, their receivers combined for 3 TD's. Now, we don't want to discount the Steaks effort, but this win may be the result of the ic chargers so so QB effort. Manning had his third rough week in a row thanks to his 3 INT's. IADP's embedded journalist reported to us that chargers owner Mike was none too pleased about having backup QB Fitzpatrick outscore Manning twice over.
The Love Supremes have become the team to beat. At 5-1, they are not only in first place, but also at the top of the scoring leaderboard by almost 100 points. In week 6, they barreled through their cross-house rivals, the Half Smokes, in a lopsided 156-108 victory. It's no surprise why with all players scoring double digits. And, almost all their players scored TD's, including their top ranked Broncos DST. For the Smokies, basically three players kept the game from being a slaughter. QB Luck impressed with 3 TD's and no INT's, WR Bryant caught 100+ yards and 2 TD's, and their Packers DST managed a respectable 20 points. The Supies 156 points puts them in 3rd place on the BFL's Most Points Scored By A Team record.
A solid game by the Mighty Long Dogs in Week 6 thanks to double digits by all but 2 players. Their runners combined for over 150 rushing yards and 3 TD's. And, despite a fumble by two players, their WR's were impressive combining for 48 points. As we reported last week, the Dabalalas ran into injury issues. Starting QB Taylor was ruled inactive on Sunday morning. And, with backup Foles on a BYE,, the Las played the game without a QB. It looks like even if they had picked up another one, no free agent QB scored enough to have outscored the Long Dogs. The Dogs took this one 123-76.
Another heartbreaking loss for the Dancers. They had their second highest score of the season. QB Wilson was strong with 20 points. WR Jeffery was on fire with almost 150 yards and a TD. K Hauschka scored a bonus 2 from a 50 yarder. But, the Killer Bunnies were just too strong for the Dancers. The Bunnies saw TD's from 3 of their receivers, including 2 from WR Hopkins. And, QB Rodgers didn't have his best game of the season, but still put up decent points thanks to 2 TD's and no INT's. The 112-94 loss is the fourth in a row for the Dancers.
After starting the season 0-3, the DaBruDoggies won their third game in a row, beating the 2nd ranked Lancelot Links 107-102. The loss for the Links was all about their running game. Star RB Peterson was held in check with just 60 yards and Martin was on a Bye. Their Eagles DST managed to keep this one close thanks to a strong 29 point effort. The Brus saw solid numbers by their runners with both Foster and Forte finding the endzone. And, despite 3 INT's, QB Bortles did well with 28 points.
The mood was somber in the Pandemic of Love locker room after their 97-80 loss to the Bad Ass Weazels. The hardest part about their loss was their QB situation. Starter Manning managed only a single TD and threw 2 INT's. But, backup Stafford threw 405 passing yards and 4 TD's for a total of 41 points, four times Manning's output. One plus for the Pandemic, franchise RB McCoy finally came into his own, scoring his first rushing TD of the season. The Weazels have QB Dalton to thank for the win. Dalton had 3 TD's and no INT's. Also, WR Sanders did well with 100+ yards and a TD.
Game of the Week Spotlight:
We traveled to the practice facilities of our Week 7 "Game of the Week" teams, the Bad Ass Weazels and ic chargers, for comments from their owners about their upcoming matchup.
As of this interview, we see a whole lot of "Byes" on both the Bad Ass Weazels and ic chargers rosters. Is that going to hurt your chances this week? And, what will you do to keep your Game of the Week opponent from winning?
Bad Ass Weazels: Well "Exaluted Grand Poobah Potentate" of the BruDog League, having paid for some inside information on the ic chargers "buys", I now have some pretty concrete evidence that not only have they "fixed" them but somehow managed to assemble a rather high powered roster that will be reveled sometime Thursday. As far as my chances and my strategy for thwarting their 4th win, I was hoping to get some help from YOU on how to beat them by ONE POINT!!We never heard back from neither the ic chargers coaches nor front office personnel. We can only assume that they are busy tweaking their lineup and reviewing game films.
Game of the Week Preview:
We at IADP think that the ic chargers Week 7 starting lineup won't be as high powered as Weazels owner Dayton is expecting. The Guru is being pretty generous with a few of the chargers projections. They're predicting 20 points for RB Woodhead who is going against a Raiders defense that is ranked 3rd against the run. And, they're predicting 10 for WR Colston who is yet to find the endzone. This is an important game for the ic chargers. With a win, they keep their winning record and maintain their position in the playoff hunt.
This will be a tough matchup for the Bad Ass Weazels. Other than TE Olsen, and WR Sanders, who is on a Bye, the Asses don't have a lot of standout receivers, so they'll need to relying on the arm of QB Newton to produce good numbers. They should also see great numbers from their 2nd ranked Seahawks DST.
It looks like both teams have taken care of business on the Bye front, and all starters are in place. We're predicting a tight one here. Too tight for us to pick a winner.
Good luck all! See you next edition!
