Week 15: Playoffs

Only four teams left! And, only one week left before the big game, the Kibble Bowl! The Bad Ass Weazels, Half Smokes, ic chargers, and Lancelot Links will battle it out for the opportunity to hold up that coveted trophy!

Week 14 Highlights:
Not the coin tosser we predicted for the first round fight between the Bad Ass Weazels and the Killer Bunnies. Despite great efforts by WR Gordon (185 yards and a TD), TE Gresham (41 yards and a TD), and K Dawson (4 FG's), the Bunnies couldn't produce enough to stand up to the Weazels. The Weazels were somewhat let down by QB Fritzpatrick, TE Cook, and their Raiders DST. But, those who did produce did so quite well. RB's Charles and Lacy combined for 239 total yards and 3 TD's. And, each of their WR's found the endzone and scored in double digits. In the end, the Weazels proved their bad-assitude, winning 124-94, their seventh win in a row.

It wasn't a pretty one between the Mighty Long Dogs and the Half Smokes, but the Smokies came out on top 81-72. Only two Long Dogs put up double digits, WR Streater and their Ravens DST. There were a couple of players who made it into the endzone, RB Stacy and TE Witten, but the rest of the squad didn't produce much. Even the passing combo of QB Stafford and WR Johnson was a let down. The Smokies fared a little better. QB Newton put up a passing TD. And, TE Graham put up a first place effort with 2 TD's. They were, however, let down by their Patriots DST which gave up 26 points and WR Hilton who couldn't get anything going. Nonetheless, the rookie Half Smokes have made it to round 2 of the playoffs.

Semifinal Preview:

Half Smokes ( #3) vs  ic chargers ( #2)

The Half Smokes will need to step up their efforts this week. They'll be facing an ic chargers team that has scored over 100 points in 11 of their 13 games and ended the regular season with a 114 point average. The Smokies' production dropped off somewhat back in week 11 after averaging 111 points from the start of the season. If they want a ticket to the Kibble Bowl, they'll need their trio of WR's (Nelson, Bryant, and Hilton) to put up the big numbers they produced earlier in the season. For the chargers, they just need to do what they do. This should be a good week for their passing game with QB Manning facing a low ranked San Diego pass defense. Unless the Smokies return to their early season ways, IADP thinks we will most likely see the ic chargers make their first Kibble Bowl appearance.

Bad Ass Weazels ( #4) vs  Lancelot Links ( #1)

The Lancelot Links are facing a dilemma. They'll lineup against the Bad Ass Weazels without two of their marquee players. RB Peterson has injured his foot and isn't likely to play, and TE Gronkowski suffered a season-ending injury last week. So, the rest of the squad will need to fire on all cylinders against the Weazels. The Weazels have been on a roll as of late and have handily beat every challenger since week 8, including the Links in week 12 by 33 points. Much like the ic chargers, Weazels QB Foles has a great matchup against a low ranked Vikings pass defense. With the Links injury woes, we at IADP think that we'll likely see the Weazels in the Championship game.

Good luck playoff teams! See you next edition!
