Week 16: KIBBLE BOWL VII

What a way to end the playoffs last week! Two monster games and a few records broken. But now, the time has come. Kibble Bowl! Two teams have been battling it out for the past 15 weeks to get to this point. Congratulations to the 4th ranked Bad Ass Weazels and 2nd ranked ic chargers for getting here. Our league mason is standing by, ready to etch a new name on the wall of BFL Champions. . . also known as the left column of our sports page.

Week 15 Highlights:
The game between the ic chargers and the Half Smokes sounds like something out of a movie script. You have the veteran team that has been in the league since the beginning, but has never made it pass the quarterfinals. Then you have the rookie team that surprises everyone by clawing their way to the semifinals in their first year. The rookie team is ahead by 14 points going into the Monday night game. The veteran team has 1 player yet to play, their kicker. That kicker ends up having a banner game. The veteran team wins. Such was the case between the chargers and the Smokies. The Halfsies put up a great effort, including a couple of TD's from their WR's, and a couple by RB Jackson. Even their Bears DST scored a TD. And, the chargers did well by their runners, which combined for 28 points, and their 49ers DST that scored a TD and a whole mess of other stats. But, the star of the game was their kicker. Tucker not only broke the BFL kicker record, but he accounted for all of Baltimore's points, kicking 6 FG's, 2 of which being 50+ yarders for bonus points. The result, a 125-117 win for the ic chargers.

An believable game by the Bad Ass Weazels last week! Where do we start?! The receivers that combined for 46 points? The DST that scored a TD for 25 total points? QB Foles who thew 428 yards and 3 TD's for 39 points? RB Lacy who produced over 170 total yards and a TD for 23 points? Or, the headliner of the show, RB Charles, who scored 5 total TD's? The funny thing is, Charles put up 215 yards. But, only 20 of those were rushing yards. Despite leaving a good number of points on the bench, the Lancelot Links had a decent game thanks to their WR's who combined for over 300 yards, 3 TD's, and 48 points. And, RB Williams put up an impressive 168 total yards and a TD. But, there was just no stopping the Weazels. They dominated the Links 193-113. It's also worth noting that the Weazels' 193 points shattered the BFL team scoring record previously held by the Mighty Long Dogs by 30 points. And, the Weazels have tied the Love Supremes' BFL winning streak record.

KIBBLE BOWL VII

vs

Bad Ass Weazels         ic chargers

It should be a good one between the Bad Ass Weazels and the ic chargers. Both teams deserve the title equally as much. They've both been on fire lately and are having their best seasons ever. The Weazels haven't lost since their week seven loss to the chargers. The chargers have been plugging away for all seven seasons of the BFL, but have never made it past 4th place. Let's take a closer look at the matchup.

This will be an interesting week for the chargers passing game. QB Manning, WR LaFell, and WR White will all face strong passing defenses in the Texans, Saints, and 49ers respectively. Their RB's, however, should have an easier time. There's uncertainty in the Weazels lineup. As of this posting, RB Lacy has now sat out two practices. Lacy was instrumental in the Weazels win last week. The rest of the team looks healthy.

The Guru is predicting a big win for the ic chargers. However, we at IADP think it'll be a little closer than the projections. However, we do hope it's an exciting high-scoring game.

Good luck Bad Ass Weazels and ic chargers! And, Happy Holidays all! See you next edition!
