Week 10

With so many teams shopping  for talent to get them into the playoffs, the Free Agent Market looked more like a grocery store right before an imminent blizzard. The storm's a comin'. And, only six teams will weather it. Don't get left out in the cold.

Week 9 Highlights:
The DaBruDoggies had the lead against the ic chargers going into Monday night, but couldn't hold on to it, losing 120-103. The big surprise for the Brus was RB Johnson who, up until this past week, averaged around 9 points. Johnson finally had a breakout performance with 170 total yards and 2 TD's. The chargers outscored thanks to a monster 31 points from their Dolphins DST. And, RB Forte impressed with over 175 total yards and a TD.

Rumor has it that coach Ryan of the Pandemic of Love wasn't happy about having his team's WR record broken by the Bad Ass Weazels in week 8. So, the Love stepped up and took it back by way of WR Andre Johnson in week 9. Johnson had an impressive 229 receiving yards and 3 TD's, as well as a bonus 2 points for reaching over 200 yards. Johnson's 42 points was more than half of the Love's opponent Killer Bunnies' score. The Bunnies fell thanks to QB Rodgers being injured during the game. Although, we're pretty sure that that didn't likely change the outcome of the matchup. An interesting note, QB Brady, who's had a so so season thus far, was finally benched by the Love. And of course it would be the week that Brady would score a huge 43 points, enough to have broken the BFL team record had he started. Either way, the Love took it 134-81.

The Lancelot Links are back to their winning ways thanks to a 105-81 win over the Dabalalas. Week 9 saw RB Peterson returning to his high-scoring ways with over 170 yards and a TD. Also returning to former glory was TE Gronkowski who put up 140+ yards and a TD. The Dabalalas had RB woes with Helu only seeing a few touches and McFadden having left the game injured. On the plus side, WR Garcon had a great game with over 170 yards. And, QB Romo did decent, although his counterpart Roethlisberger way outdid the starter.

The Half Smokes continue their dominance in the BFL with a 139-92 win over the Dancers. For the Dancers, QB Luck scored his second game in row of 30+ points, which included a bonus for a 58 yarder. Also, WR Allen was the only receiver to produce more than 1 point with a TD and 128 yards. For the Smokies, most of their points came from three players, RB Bernard, WR Hilton, and TE Graham. The three accounted for 74 thanks to multiple TD's by each. And, both QB Newton and their Patriots DST were solid.

The Mighty Long Dogs were delivered a blow Sunday as they lost RB Foster to a back injury in the first quarter. Also, the Dogs weren't helped at all by their receiving squad that produced no TD's. The standout on the team was RB Stacy who produced a huge 178 total yards and 2 TD's. The Bad Ass Weazels won their second in a row by way of their Panthers DST's TD and a good effort by RB Lacy. And, after a rotary of QB changes over the past few weeks, recent pickup McCown had a solid game with 2 TD's. The result, a 117-89 win for the Weazels.

The Cheesesteaks win big thanks to their air attack. QB Wilson had a solid 200+ yards and a couple of TD's. And, the Steaks WR's combined for 48 points with over 300 total yards and 3 TD's. Plus, their Browns DST produced a handful of sacks. The Love Supremes decision to go with QB Dalton over Griffin didn't really pay off. Dalton didn't score a single TD and threw 3 Int's. Although, we must point out that Griffin wouldn't have made much of a difference had he started. It also didn't help the Supies that WR Thompkins was inactive and had no backup. This was a pretty easy one for the Steaks, and they took advantage of the Supies to the tune of a 133-75 point win.

Speaking of the Cheesesteaks, owner Kurt is in our Spotlight.

Spotlight:
Kurt, the Cheesesteaks aren't totally out of the playoff hunt yet. But, they'll need a few more games like this past week's to make it in. Tell our readers your strategy for the rest of the season?

Playoffs?!? It's pretty simple. We will win out to take home the trophy by seasons end. I do recall a similar situation not too long ago. The Cheesesteaks refuse to panic. Best of luck to all! You will need it with this wild season.

Preview:
The Cheesesteaks will try to duplicate that 2010 late season winning streak. Up next are the Dabalalas. It looks like the Las were leapfrogged by the Steaks front office at the Free Agent Market. Las RB McFadden is injured, and as of this posting, looks to sit out Sunday. As a result, the Steaks jumped on the opportunity to secure McFadden's backup, Jennings. The Guru is predicting a win for the Steaks. And, with the likes of QB Wilson and WR Welker, we're inclined to agree.

This should be a good week for the Love Supremes ground game with both RB's Lynch and Murray facing week run defenses. But, as has been the case for much of the season, the question is which QB will show up to play for the Supies. Griffin has had a so so season. And, after three strong weeks in a row, Dalton couldn't get it going last week. The best chance for the DaBruDoggies this week is QB Brees' matchup against the second-to-last ranked passing defense of the Cowboys. But, they can't rely on passing alone. Another strong game by RB Johnson would help.

If you believe the Guru, it's expected to be a blowout for the Pandemic of Love over the Lancelot Links. It's possible, but only if the entire squad does well. Despite the team projections, as long as the Cardinals' defense continues its dominance, the Love's chances look good. The Lancelot Links are without TE's Cameron and Gronkowski due to Byes and will have to rely on Walsh. We're also curious to see how RB Peterson does against the Redskins defense. As good as Peterson is, he hasn't done well against the Redskins in the past.

Week 10 will see the return of QB P. Manning from his Bye for the ic chargers. This should be a high scorer for Manning as he faces the 27 ranked Chargers defense. Add a little RB Forte and WR Marshall to the mix and this should be another good week for the chargers. The Dancers have a little fire power on their side with QB Luck having a good season. The uncertainty for the Dancers is their ground game. Rice and Jones Drew aren't seeing the same points they have in previous seasons. The Dancers will most likely rely on their air attack to win this one.

The Mighty Long Dogs and the Killer Bunnies have their first "Battle of the Bedroom" since the Great Division Shakeup of '13. By the way, in case you're keeping track, the Killer Bunnies are ahead in the bedroom 4-2. The Dogs may shorten that margin this week thanks to a QB shakeup for the Bunnies. Starter Rodgers is injured and will be out for weeks. And, backup Smith is out on a Bye. So, the Bunnies have picked up Flacco to fill the opening. The Long Dogs will likely be without RB Foster, but should score well with QB Stafford and WR Johnson on the field.

The Bad Ass Weazels are the next team in the Half Smokes cross hairs. The Smokies have been blowing through teams this season and we at IADP think that will continue this week. Except for their DST, the Smokies look good on the Bye week front. And, there are a few question health wise, but it looks like everyone is expected to play. The Weazels picked up QB Foles and are hoping for a repeat of last week's performance where he threw 7 TD's passes and scored 61 points. This will be a tough one for the Weazels, but only because the Half Smokes are so good.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
