Week 4 Highlights:
It's fitting that the team that finally stops the juggernaut that is the Half Smokes is the team many considered the most successful BFL team of all time, despite having their worst start ever. The Pandemic of Love managed to outscore the Half Smokes 124-111. Their Chiefs DST dominated as usual. But, it was the return of the injured RB Bush that put them over the top. The Smokies were hurt by having to rely on backup QB E. Manning to start in place of Newton who was on a Bye.
The ic chargers continue their run, this time charging through the Dabalalas 120-79. The Las running game was nonexistent, totalling 2 combined points. It didn't help that McFadden left the game injured. For the chargers, it's the same ol' headline, QB P. MANNING DOES IT AGAIN. It's hard to beat a team whose quarterback tosses 4 TD's and goes four games in a row without an INT. By the way, the chargers also did well thanks to 5 sacks by their 49ers DEF and a TD by TE Fleener.
Another headline we're getting used to, THE LANCELOT LINKS DO IT AGAIN. And, it was the usual RB Peterson who led the team on their 138-105 route of the Love Supremes. Also, the Links receivers, for the most part, were on fire combining for 54 points. Over all, the Supies didn't have a bad game, but they didn't see a whole lot of production from a couple of their receivers. And, the Raiders didn't give K Janikowski many chances to score. Bright spots for the Supies include 166 yards and a TD by WR Smith. And, RB Lynch bounced back with 143 total yards and a TD.
After scoring in the 60's two weeks in a row, the Dancers scored over 100 in week 4. But, it wasn't enough. They lost to the Mighty Long Dogs 120-102. The Dancer can thank their DST for boosting their score with 2 INT's, 5 sacks, and 2 FUM REC's, one of which resulting in a TD. This would have been a more lopsided victory for the Doggies had RB Reece not left the game injured. Fortunately, RB Foster made up for the absense with over 170 total yards and a TD. The rest of the team scored fairly evenly.
The Killer Bunnies were on fire, scoring over twice what they put up in week 3 and stomping all over the Cheesesteaks, 135-86. The game was pretty much over going into the Monday night game with the Steaks behind by 26. But, the Bunnies weren't through, putting up another 23 points by way of RB Sproles and his 2 TD's. The Cheeses were let down by QB Wilson, who couldn't get the ball in the air and threw an INT. And, only one receiver saw the end zone.
The DaBruDoggies finally did it. After starting 0-3, the Brus finally produced a win. It was, by no means, a poor game for their opponent the Bad Ass Weazels. Their RB's combined for over 200 yards and 3 TD's. And, WR Thomas scored an impressive 20 points after finding the end zone twice. But, Thomas was the only plus for the Weazels receivers. Brown was the only other receiver to put up yardage. Also, despite 3 INT's, back QB Cutler out shined starter Vick. Although, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game. There are three reasons why the Brus dominated. Their Colts DST owned the lowly Jaguars. QB Brees had his best game of the season so far with 400+ passing yards and 4 TD's. And, TE Gonzalez had a recordbreaking outing with 149 receiving yards and 2 TD's. The result, a 133-96 win for the Brus.
Speaking of the DaBruDoggies, owner Antonio is in our Spotlight.
Spotlight:
Our usual Spotlight interviewer is busy on Capitol Hill getting the inside scoop on the shutdown debate by working undercover as a Russell Building janitor. So, we asked Caren, owner of the Killer Bunnies, to conduct our Spotlight interview this week.

Antonio, the Doggies have finally recorded their first win. What changes have you made in the lineup and does this now give you a clear, confident path for the rest of the season?
Thank you Caren. Well, I've been making changes since week 1. It hadn't done much good until this past week. I don't think I'm all that confident about my path for the rest of the season. I don't have a lot of high profile players. So, much like last season, I'm going to have to rely on good coaching and front office work to make it through the season. Or, maybe I can bribe the league manager to lock some owners out of their teams. You know we're personal friends.Preview:
The next challenge for the DaBruDoggies is a matchup against the Cheesesteaks. The Steaks are coming off of two losses in a row, so they will be hungry. IADP is interested to see which DST owner Kurt decides to start. The Bears are playing against the high-powered Saints offense and the low-rated Eagles are going up against the winless Giants. The question for the Brus is how much longer will they stick with RB Johnson. He has been a major player in past seasons, but has yet to find the end zone this season.
The Pandemic of Love got a much needed boost last week and hope to continue the momentum as they face the Dabalalas. The Las front office went on a shopping spree at the Free Agent Market to shore up all sides of the team. There are a few uncertainties in the Las ground game. Both RB's McFadden and Spiller are questionable. And, Pierce, along with Dancers RB Rice, hasn't done much for the Ravens offense. We find it interesting that the Guru is projecting the Pandemic's Chiefs DST at only 18 points against the 29th ranked Titans offense.
IADP is looking forward to the matchup between the ic chargers and the Half Smokes. Despite losing last week, the Smokies are still in 3rd place. And, the chargers are at the top of their game at 4-0. As always, the key to a chargers win is QB P. Manning. And, he faces a favorable matchup against a low-ranked Cowboys pass defense. The Smokies have a few key players including QB Newton, WR Byant, and the #1 ranked TE Graham. This will definitely be an uphill battle for the chargers.
The Dancers could really use a win. But, standing in their way are the Love Supremes. For the most part, the Dancers have been hampered by their running game this season. And, WR Colston has put up the strong performance he has in the past. The Guru has this one about even. IADP agrees with that.
Another game of the week pits the Mighty Long Dogs against the Lancelot Links. This will be a true test for the Links with marquee RB Peterson on a Bye. Recently added McGahee is hardly a replacement for Peterson, but he'll see a favorable matchup against the Bills run defense. The Dogs have a few question marks health wise. As long as everyone plays, this should be tight matchup.
As long as the Killer Bunnies put last week's debacle behind them, they should do well this week against the Bad Ass Weazels. Plusses for the Bunnies. QB Rodgers is coming off of a Bye. And, WR Cruz faces a good matchup. The Weazels added a new face to their receiving squad and dropped hometown favorite WR Moss. Also, as of this posting, the Weazels front office has decided to see if TE Daniels can improve upon the 0 points his counterpart Rudolph put up last week.
Good luck all! See you next edition!
