Week 11

It's that time of the season, the final division stretch. And, the point in the season where teams fight for playoff spots. The Lancelot Links, Mighty Long Dogs, Pandemic of Love, and ic chargers pretty much have the playoffs locked. The DaBruDoggies and the Cheeseteaks have no room to rest. And, the Dancers are close enough to taste it. Things are getting tense in the BFL! The only thing that will ease that tension, a dip in the Kibble Bowl!

Week 10 Highlights:
It's a sad week in the BFL when the "New England Patriots of the BFL" lose two games in a row. Such was the case as the Pandemic of Love lost to the Lancelot Links 120-106. With a 103 point average, it wasn't a bad game for the Pandemic. What probably lost the game for the Love is DST. Both of the Love's DST options, the 49ers and Broncos, matched up about the same against offenses that matched up about the same also. So, it was a tossup which to play. Unfortunately, the wrong one was chosen. The 49ers managed only 13 points while the benched Broncos impressed with 2 TD's for a total of 38 points. The Links continued their high scoring ways, mostly on the backs of QB Ryan and RB Peterson.

The Bad Ass Weazels were on fire last week. Not only did they score their second win in a row, 130-67 over the Dancers, but they outscored the entire league. The Weazels got a lot of help from QB Rivers' 3 TD's. Also, an 80 yard TD pass to WR Alexander added an extra 2 to their point total. This was the Dancers lowest score of the season. It's not hard to see why. Their receivers combined for 17. And, RB Bush was taken out of the game after a fumble early in the game. Also, IADP must point out that the Dancers bench almost outscored the starting squad with 64 points.

The ic chargers maintain their current playoff position thanks to a 100-88 win over the Dabalalas. The chargers didn't have huge numbers by any one player, but they got decent points by their RB's. And, their DST held the Steelers to 13 points. The Las did well by QB Stafford and his 3 TD's. It was their WR's who let them down, combining for just 10 points. Also, their Bills DST allowed 37 points and recorded only a single sack.

The Killer Bunnies broke their two game losing streak with a 84-64 win over the Love Supremes. This was the Supies' lowest score of the season thanks to QB Manning and his third week in a row of barely scoring. The bright spot on the Bunnies side was their Ravens DST who scored a TD and recovered a couple of fumbles. Also, QB Luck managed a respectable 18 points.

A great week for the Wonder Twin Powers. Not only did they put up their 2nd highest point total of the season, but they beat the 3rd ranked Mighty Long Dogs 118-92. It wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game, but the Dogs missed out on a higher score thanks to a benched Texans DST and QB Newton. The Twins got decent numbers from much of the team, but definitely benefited from TE Graham's 2 TD's and a bonus 2 for QB Palmer's 55 yard TD pass to WR Heyward-Bey.

After an unfortunate loss in week 9, the DaBruDoggies bounced back with a 118-82 win over the Cheesesteaks. The Brus were off to an early start after their DST, who scored 29, and WR Shorts, who scored 16, put them well ahead after Thursday night's game. Unfortunately for the Steaks, they ran into QB issues. Starter Vick left the game in the 2nd quarter with a concussion. And, to top it off, back up Flacco had a monster game with 3 TD's and over 300 yards for 35 points, although starting Flacco alone wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game.

Speaking of the Cheesesteaks, owner Kurt is in our Spotlight.

Spotlight:

Kurt, rumor in the NFL is that the Philadelphia Eagles will likely bench QB Michael Vick for the rest of the season after the concussion he suffered in week 10. Will the Cheesesteaks be able to survive and make it to the playoffs without their favorite QB?

Benching, PLAYOFFS?!?! That is a loaded question filled with speculation. Look, the Cheesesteaks have had a roller coaster ride of a season but we have remained in Playoff contention and plan on staying that way! Our marquee players (Andre Johnson and Michael Vick) have been out performed and that is why you will not be seeing their names this week. They both seem old, tired, and not what I'm looking for in a team. Hell, we all knew Vick can be an idiot and after this recent concussion he may just be too dumb to play for the Steaks. Although he needs to shave off some eyebrow, Flacco had a promising game last week and a new QB may just show up in the coming weeks. Best of luck to all in the remainder of the season. I'm coming after YOU!

Preview:
The next game for the Cheesesteaks is a must win. Their opponent, the Dabalalas, could possibly derail their playoff hopes. With the Dancers right on their heels, a Steaks loss, along with a Dancers win, would give the two teams the same record. But, with the Dancers being well ahead on the score leaderboard, they would eclipse the Steaks. As of this posting, the Las have a bunch of Bye issues to deal with. We're guessing that the Steaks will maintain their position this week.

The Mighty Long Dogs are sitting pretty comfortably in 3rd place, and barring a total meltdown in these last three games, should have no problem staying there. They'll face their cross-house rival Killer Bunnies this week. The Bunnies receivers probably have the best matchups this week. And, QB Rodgers is back from his Bye. For the Dogs, they should do quite well on the back of RB Foster and his matchup against a very low ranked Jaguars run defense.

The Dancers could really use a win this week. As stated earlier, they have a legitimate chance at a playoff spot with a win and a Cheesesteaks loss. They'll have quite the battle with their matchup against the Pandemic of Love. After having lost two in a row, you know the Pandemic are going to work hard not to lose a third, especially with a first round Bye hanging in the balance. The outcome of this one may just depend on whether Dancers RB Rice can overcome an unfavorable matchup against the Steelers defense.

The Wonder Twin Powers seemed to have flipped the wrong side of the luck coin again. After being without RB Jones-Drew for the past few weeks, they've now lost QB Roethlisberger to injury also. Fortunately, their other QB, Palmer, should do well against the lowly Saints pass defense. On the other side of the 50, the Love Supremes will welcome the return of QB Griffin III. The Guru has this one fairly even, but we at IADP think that this one may just go to the Twins.

It would take a lot for the ic chargers to fall out of the playoff picture. On the other hand, their opponent, the DaBruDoggies, need the win to keep a comfortable cushion from the playoff threshold. The Brus face a lot of uncertainty in their running game thanks to the Steelers. As of this posting, the league is waiting to hear which of their three RB's will start. The chargers don't seem to have any major issues this week. And, at 3rd place on the score leaderboard, they've mastered the art of scoring, and should have no problems putting up good numbers.

The Bad Ass Weazels would love to win a third game in a row. And, a win over the Lancelot Links won't affect the Links' first round Bye status. The Links are without marquee RB Peterson, so their running game may suffer. Also, topped ranked TE Gronkowski is dealing with injuries, although he is expected to play. The Weazels just need to keep doing what they've been doing the past couple of weeks. They're out of the playoff hunt, but it'd be nice to end the season on a win streak.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
