Week 10

*Sniff*  *Sniff*  Can you smell it?! That sweet smell?! That sweet smell of success is the contents of the Kibble Bowl. And, now that we are going into Week 10, that smell is getting closer and sweeter. The playoff picture hasn't really changed much over the past few weeks. And, there are a few teams that are within inches of getting in. Who's gonna crack the top 6 and land a playoff spot? Who's gonna make that run to the end? We shall see!

Week 9 Highlights:
Someone finally managed to do it. The Mighty Long Dogs ended the five game winning streak of the Pandemic of Love, beating them 131-93. The Mighty were on fire. Especially their receivers who combined for 350+ Yds. And, WR Marshall scored 3 TD's. The Love weren't even close, although QB Schaub had a respectable game. And, their Broncos DST scored 24 thanks to a special teams TD.

Normally, if your QB scores 4 TD passes and puts up 35 points, your going to win your game. But, that wasn't the case for the Killer Bunnies. They lost to the Dancers 109-91. Unfortunately, other than solid efforts from their K and their DST, the rest of the Bunnies squad couldn't matchup to QB Rodgers' excellence. The Dancers didn't have one single player with a monster performance. But, the team as a whole put up a united front with all but two players scoring in double digits.

The Dabalalas and the Love Supremes were tied going into the Monday night game. And with one player still to play, it was pretty much a given that the Supies would win. And, they did thanks to an extra 16 points by WR Jackson. After scoring 71 and 66 in the last two weeks, this was a good game for the Las. It was probably QB Stafford who did them in. Even though he put up 285 passing yards, he didn't manage any TD's. The Supies did well thanks to their runners who combined for 36 points, The Supies won 110-94.

After losing three in a row, the Cheesesteaks came back with a vengeance. They can attribute their win to a strong defensive effort. Their Chargers DST scored 2 TD's. Pretty good, considering that they were a late season pickup by coach Kurt. On the other side of the ball, their opponent, the Wonder Twin Powers, were let down by their running game. RB Thomas only managed 6 points. And, RB Tanner didn't see any touches at all. The result, the Steaks crushed the Twins 130-81.

It was a great week for the Bad Ass Weazels and a sad one for the DaBruDoggies. The Weazels scored their second win of the season. The Brus missed out on scoring their sixth, thanks to a bad decision to bench newly acquired RB Redman, who replaced the injured Dwyer. Redman rushed for 147 Yds. and a TD. The Brus starters combined for only 38 Yds. and didn't see the endzone at all. The Weazels can thank their DST for keeping them above water. And, TE Daniels scored a respectable 12 points. The Weazels came out ahead 88-77.

IADP can't decide what's most impressive about the matchup between the Lancelot Links and the ic chargers. Is it that the teams scored 270 points combined? Is it that the Lancelot Links won their fourth in a row? Maybe that the chargers scored their most points ever in the BFL. Or that the Links had their best single RB performance of the season. Nope! We've decided. It's that chargers RB Martin rushed for a monster 251 Yds. and 4 TD's, resulting in a BFL record-breaking 53 points. Despite the 138-132 loss for the chargers, there's no doubt that fantasy owners will be talking about this one for years to come.

Speaking of the ic chargers, owner Mike is in our Spotlight.

Spotlight:
Mike, you're having your best season ever in the BFL. The ic chargers are fourth in the league and fourth on the score leaderboard. What's your secret? And, what did you say to RB Doug Martin that got him so fired up?

The secret to the I C Chargers success this season was our draft department headed by Max the computer guy. We took a chase on Peyton Manning coming back from a serious back injury and drafting Doug Martin out of Boise St. What got Martin so fire up was all this talk about RG III and Andrew Luck. How bout some love for a running Back!!

Preview:
The "Guru" is certainly showing some love for a RB as it is projecting Martin to have another great score. It'll be hard fought since Martin is facing a 4th ranked Chargers rush defense. It looks like the rest of the team should also do well thanks to some favorable matchups against a bunch of low level defenses. What will probably hold their opponent, the Dabalalas, back is their DST matchup against the high-powered Patriots offence.

The game between the Love Supremes and the Killer Bunnies probably means a lot more for the Supies as they are one rank outside of a Wildcard spot. They have the weapons. But, they'll need to overcome the likes of QB Luck and WR Cruz on the Bunnies squad. Also, they'll need a little nudging from a loss by the Cheesesteaks or a low scoring loss by the DaBruDoggies.

Currently in 3rd place, the Mighty Long Dogs are sitting pretty comfortably. And, barring a total meltdown over the next four weeks, they should have no problems looking forward to a playoff spot. Also, with three top twenty ranked WR's, they should have no problems handling the Wonder Twin Powers this week. Once again, the Twins are without their best runner RB Jones-Drew. Also, WR Harvin is iffy as he deals with a nagging ankle injury.

The DaBruDoggies have been having RB issues this season, and their troubles continue with McFadden likely not to play and uncertainty over which Steelers RB is most healthy to play. The Steaks should be OK as long as their RB's take advantage of excellent matchups against the Bills and Saints defence. Also, future Hall Of Fame TE Gonzalez should put up good numbers.

The Bad Ass Weazels are going into week 10 with a little swagger after their second win. They'll face the Dancers and the talents of RB Rice and WR Jackson. If the Weazels want a second win in a row, they'll need to produce more than they did last week. The Dancers average 104 points and are 4th on the score leaderboard. So, they no how to score big. Barring any injuries, the Dancers should have no problems this week.

Our Game O' The Week may also end up being a Kibble Bowl preview. We at IADP think that the game between the Lancelot Links and the Pandemic of Love will be one of the most exciting games of the season. Just take a look at the matchups. Undefeated Links QB Ryan vs. Future Hall Of Fame Love QB Brady. RB's Peterson vs. McCoy. Bears DST vs 49ers DST. We can't begin to predict who will win this one, but we'll have a great time seeing it play out!

Good luck all! See you next edition!
