Week 8

The IADP media department managed to capture footage of the Bad Ass Weazels locker room before last week's huge win.

Week 7 Highlights:
Ever since coach Caren shed a tear in front of her squad in the locker room, the Killer Bunnies have been on a roll. They won their 3rd game in a row, beating the Dabalalas 102-71. The Killers won this one with the help of QB Rodgers, who scored 30+ for the 4th week in a row. It also helped that the Las only scored 3 offensive TD's. A bright spot on the Las squad was their Bills DST and their TD Ret. Unfortunately, they allowed 35 points, dropping their contribution to 17.

It was a second loss in a row for the Cheesesteaks, losing to the Mighty Long Dogs 112-68. The Steaks saw single digits from the majority of the team. Even QB Flacco managed only 7 points thanks to his 2 Int's. The Dogs fared much better. But, the star of the game was definitely the Dogs' Texans DST which scored a TD and a safety, resulting 31 points. Also, RB Foster proved why he is a top ranked RB with 2 TD's for 21 points.

A sad week for the ic chargers as they scored their lowest point total of the season, losing to the Pandemic of Love 95-58. It's not hard to see why. The chargers saw only two players score in double digits. Also, WR Lloyd and TE Davis scored no points at all. Despite negative yards by RB Blount, the rest of the Pandemic stepped up. This wasn't the Love's best game, but it doesn't matter much when your opponent scores so low.

IADP totally underestimated the determination of coach Dayton last week, predicting that the coach would be "taking a vacation" in week 7. Well, we were wrong. Not only did the Bad Ass Weazels not give up, but they picked up QB Weeden, who helped them beat the Love Supremes 121-93. The Supies didn't play horribly. They did well by QB Griffin III. And, WR Moss, who was dropped by the Killer Bunnies in week 5, impressed with 2 TD's. Of course, the big story of the game was Weazels RB Johnson. He scored a monster 31 points, only 3 points less than the total number of points he scored through week 6.

The Lancelot Links continued their domination of the scoreboard, more than doubling the Wonder Twin Powers score, beating them 132-58. The Links weren't content with the 93 points they already had going into Monday night, and decided to have QB Cutler and the Bears DST add another 39 points to ice the cake. The Twins loss is probably the result of injuries and rookie coaching. On the injury front, RB Jones-Drew left the game early with a foot injury. On the coaching front, the Powers started the game with their kicker on the bench. Also, TE Graham was left in the starting lineup even though he was already injured before the game.

All mouths were agape after the unbelievable ending to the game between the DaBruDoggies and the Dancers. The Brus were ahead by 3 points going into the Monday night game. The Dancers still had one player to play, K Hanson. One field goal, an easy feat for most teams/kickers, would have tied it up. But, the Bears DEF kept the Lions offense in check, keeping them out of the red zone for the majority of the game, and thus, holding Hanson to a single extra point, and giving the Dancers the 116-114 loss.

Speaking of the Dancers, owner Jill is in our Spotlight.

Spotlight:
Jill, you went into Monday night down by 3 with your kicker still to play. All the Dancers needed was a field goal to at least tie the game. What happened?

Well, with a kicker who scores an average of 12 points per game and no score below 7, I assumed I was going to win. I started making playoff plans, watching myself rise up through the ranks of the BFL. I learned to not count my chickens before they are hatched, or don't count your dogs' points because they may be cats. Back to the choreography.

Preview:
The Dancers will try to recover as they face the Mighty Long Dogs. Despite their 2 losses and a tie, the Dogs are a great team that have scored 100+ in all but one game, so they know how to get the job done. A couple of pluses for the Dancers this week are the Byes of both Dogs marquee RB Foster and their 2nd ranked Texans DST. Also, hopefully the Seahawks will give K Hanson a chance to put some points on the board this time around.

It's a big matchup at Link Stadium between the DaBruDoggies and the Lancelot Links. The Links are #1 on the scoring leaderboard, way ahead of the rest of the league. The Brus are fighting to make it to the playoffs after a two year absence. They'll need their franchise RB McFadden to get back to the numbers he put up last season. The Lances already know how to put up big numbers, so there isn't much we at IADP can advise. They just need to keep doing what they do.

The ic chargers have now dropped two in a row after going on a three game win streak. So, you know they'll be on fire this week as they face the Bad Ass Weazels. This game is completely winnable for the chargers as long as QB Manning takes advantage of the great matchup against the lowly ranked Saints DEF. The game should be a little tighter after the Weazels take care of some front office work. But, we at IADP are predicting that the chargers will take this one.

The Love Supremes haven't won since week 3, so they really need this one. They'll face the Cheesesteaks who are trying to stay above .500 and in the playoff hunt. We at IADP are looking forward to seeing future Hall of Fame TE Gonzalez put up good numbers. The Supies have an interesting dilemma on their hands. Both of their QB's are facing top 3 rated pass defenses. It looks like they'll be relying heavily on the running skills of RB's Lynch and Forte.

Front office issues abound between the Wonder Twin Powers and the Dabalalas. Both teams are dealing with Byes and/or injuries as of this posting. It's a little hard to analyze this matchup right now until we see where coaches Jenn and Jim go with their lineups.

The Killer Bunnies have been chugging along these past three weeks. But, they are about to face a wall by the name of the Pandemic of Love. The Pandemic are facing some great matchups this week, especially their RB's. Also, their 49ers DST should have no problem with the Cardinals offense who is 26th in passing and 27th in rushing. The Bunnies receiving squad look like they may have some trouble this week. Specifically, WR's Cruz and Hixon and their matchup against a strong Cowboys DEF.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
