Week 9

Week 8 Highlights:
One can't point to just one reason for the DaBruDoggies' 96-59 loss to the Lancelot Links. The St. Louis Rams totally suppressed the Saint's passing game. Thus, 12 points for QB Brees and 0 for WR Henderson. The Redskins couldn't get anything going. Thus, 1 for RB Torain. The Cowboys also couldn't get anything going. Thus, 2 for TE Witten and 12 for the Cowboys DEF. And, of course, the biggest factor? The Links outscored them. Thanks to QB Roethlisberger and RB Peterson, who have both become more consistant in recent weeks, this was an easy win for the Lances.

It was a close one between the ic chargers and the Bad Ass Weazels, and it isn't hard to see why. This ended up being a pretty even game with all positions scoring about the same. Even though the final score was Weazels 77 chargers 75, it's a little deceiving. The Asses didn't necessarily outscore the chargers. The score would have been tied if not for chargers QB Rivers' 4th quarter fumble, which not only would have meant a win for the San Diego Chargers, but would have resulted in a tie game for the BFL matchup.

Not since the Bad Ass Weazels has a rookie team done as well as the Love Supremes have this season. With their fifth win in a row, they've ended the Cheesesteaks playoff chances with a 103-97 win. The Steaks were ahead going into the Monday night game and were ahead most of that game. But, in the 4th quarter, Supremes RB Battle stepped up. Then late in the quarter, he scored the TD that sealed the deal.

The Dabalalas didn't start a K or DEF. Normally that would result in a loss. But, since they played the Easy Wins, it didn't matter. The Las won 61-33.

After a slew of last minute front office moves, the Killer Bunnies did well last week. Their standout was definitely their Bills DEF who sacked the lowly Redskins QB Beck 9 times and and intercepted him twice, resulting in 32 points. Unfortunately, the Bunnies' opponent was the mighty Pandemic of Love, who won 123-106. The Pandemic was our points winner. And, it's no surprise with RB McCoy scoring 2 TDs and 200 yds.

For the second time this season, we've had a game end in a tie. This time it was the Dancers against the Mighty Long Dogs who both scored 121. The Dancers came by their score through their running game with marquee RB Rice scoring 3 TDs and Jackson gaining almost two hundred total Yds. The Dogs scored by way of QB Newton's 3 TD passes and a monster 38 points by their Lions DEF and their 7 Scks, 2 Fum recoveries, and 2 TDs. Both teams are still in the playoff hunt. It remains to be seen how the tie will effect their chances.

Speaking of the Dancers, owner Jill is in our spotlight.

Spotlight:
Jill, you share a division with the Pandemic of Love and Love Supremes, two of the top teams in the BFL right now. After finishing in second place last season, can the Dancer knock down their division rivals and work their way back to the top and the playoff hunt?

There's a lot of Love going around, but the Dancers can make a comeback. We are taking a little break from Quarterback woes before the final push where we will leap to the top!

Preview:
It's Ladies Night over at the Dancer Dome with the Dancer facing the Killer Bunnies. Now that QB Rodgers is back from his Bye, it looks like the Killer Bunnies will be all about the passing game again. The Dancers are expected to have a balanced game. In order to have a shot at the playoffs, they have to win this one.

The Dabalalas are on a two game win streak, but that streak may end as they face the powerful Love Supremes who have now won five in a row. The Supremes are expected to score big on the ground, by air, and by sea if it was possible. You can bet that Coach Jim will reach deep in his bag of tricks to put a stop to the Supy's success.

The Cheesesteaks are finally on their Bye as they face the Easy Wins this week. The Steaks are projected to score most of their points through their passing game and, oddly enough, their kicking game. The Easy Wins are expected to do their usual.

The winner between the DaBruDoggies and the Bad Ass Weazels may just be determined by whether the Brus lineup will be healthy. Marquee RB McFadden is out. RB Matthews and WR Burress are questionable. The Weazels look healthy and are OK Bye wise. This looks like an even matchup. . . as long as the Brus whole lineup makes it to the field.

The ic chargers are also dealing with health issues. RB Green-Ellis is questionable and RB Bradshaw is doubtful. The chargers have four backups, but one is injured and two others are on Byes, which leaves McGahee as possibly the only viable starter. The chargers will face the Lancelot Links who are a little better off with their lineup, although RB Addai is questionable, and his backups are on Byes. It looks like the Links may take this one.

As usual, the Pandemic of Love are guru'd to win, this time against the Mighty Long Dogs. The Dogs are making every effort to get above .500 and stage a comeback to the playoff hunt. At issue for the Pandemic is whether WR Welker will start despite a neck injury. The Dogs seem to be healthy. IADP is looking forward to seeing how well QB Tebow does for the Dogs, despite the fact that Madden doesn't seem to have as much faith in him as Coach Bud does.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
