Also, IADP would like to wish Killer Bunnies owner Caren a Happy Birthday!!!
Week 3 Highlights:
It's always a rough week when your bench scores only 5 points less than your starters. Such was case for the Love Supremes who lost to the Dancers 90-79. After posting so-so numbers over the past couple of weeks, QB Manning was benched by Supremes coach Hank. Of course, that would be the week that saw Manning score 36 points. The Dancer had a fairly even performance, despite WR Britt's -1, with most of the team scoring in double digits.
The DaBruDoggies seem to be making up for all the points that they didn't score last year by putting up big numbers so far this season. In their game against the Mighty Long Dogs, they almost doubled the dogs score, winning 139-74. Contributing to the Dogs loss was their RB situation. Hillis was inactive due to. . . ahem. . . strep throat. And, the Dogs only backup, Bush, put up poor numbers for a second week in a row, scoring not a single point. Contributing to the Brus win was the trio of Brees, McFadden, and Mathews who combined for well over half of the Brus points.
Our points winner in week 3 was the Dabalalas who toppled the Lancelot Links 147-111. The Las saw double digits from all players except one. They also benefited from bonus points for QB Flacco's 74 yd TD pass to WR Torrey Smith. The Links didn't have a bad game, and did well by TE Gronkowski's 2 TDs. But, it's hard to beat a team that puts up the huge numbers that the Las did.
The Woes continue for the ic chargers who lost to the Killer Bunnies 99-79. Except for a TD by RB Bradshaw and 114 Rec Yds by TE Davis, the rest of the chargers saw lackluster numbers. And, except for a strong defensive game, the chargers bench wouldn't have been much of a difference maker in the game. The Bunnies win means that they can look past the fact that both their starting and backup TE's didn't play due to injury and that benched RB Tomlinson outscored his starting counterpart by 22 points. As we look back on the season, we'll see a W in week 3, not who didn't play or who didn't perform.
IADP has decided to just copy and paste the headline, "The Pandemic of Love Wins Again" instead of typing it each week. The usuals (QB Brady, RB McCoy, and WR Welker) put up good numbers. And, Wes Welker scored a bonus 2 for putting up 217 Rec Yds, helping him break the BFL record for most points scored by a WR, previously held by Dwayne Bowe (Dancers). The Romosexual Tendencies had a couple of highlights, including WR Wallace's 20 points and Browns DEF's 21 points. But, the single digits of the rest of the team didn't help. And thus, the Pandemic won 138-87.
The Cheesesteaks almost seem to be cursed these days. QB Vick left the game injured for a second week in a row. RB Wells was inactive. WR Branch had no receptions at all. Most of the rest of the team scored very low. The Bad Ass Weazels had a better game, with most of their points coming by way of their Ravens DEF's 29 points and TE Jermichael Finley's BFL record-breaking 26 points. The result, the Weazels continue their unbeaten streak, overpower the Steaks 115-62.
Speaking of the Cheesesteaks, owner Kurt is in our spotlight.
Spotlight:
Kurt, the Cheesesteaks are off to a rough start. Last year, you started the season 1-4, but ended up making it to the Kibble Bowl and winning the championship. Will we see a similar turnaround this season? Can QB Michael Vick stay upright and lead the Cheesteaks to another championship?
Well, this is a simple answer...YES. The first game I should have played Tolbert. The second game came down to the wire and last week...well... Let's forget that happened. Any more questions? It's a busy time right now! The steaks are always pumped to destroy the pandemic of losers! Coach Ryan is a bum! MwhaahahaPreview:
Fighting words coming out of the Cheesesteaks camp as they host the Pandemic of Love this week. The Steaks need to do whatever they can (fighting words, extra practices, morning prayer) to pull this one out. After all, they are facing the top rated QB (Brady) and WR (Welker). The Pandemic is projected to win this one, although we probably don't need Madden to tell us that. Let's just hope that Steaks QB Vick can stay healthy and put up the numbers that he did last year.
The Dancers will face the Dabalalas, and it looks like the Dancers front office realizes that they are going up against a strong opponent. Coach Jill made a visit to the free agent market to shop for some new ball carriers. The Las are favored to win this one, with their receiving core seeing a lot of catches. However, you can't count our 2010 runner up out just yet.
The ic chargers really need a win. . . badly. They are off to their worst start ever in the BFL. Owner Mike even admitted to IADP reporters that he was considering changing the name of the team to the Easy Wins (the name of the former dummy team of the BFL created to guarantee at least one automatic win for every owner). Madden is predicting that the chargers will score high. The problem is, their opponent, the Romosexual Tendencies, are projected to score even more. Expect the chargers to do whatever it takes to put a W in their record.
The Love Supremes have lost two in a row and are looking to take down the DaBruDoggies who are off to one of their best starts ever, winning three in a row. The Supremes will have their hands full as they face #1 ranked RB McFadden, #2 ranked QB Brees, and #5 ranked RB Mathews. Madden is expecting big numbers from Love QB Fitzpatrick and RB Turner. We'll see if those big numbers are enough to put the Supremes at .500.
After their loss last week, despite a decent score, the Lancelot Links are expected to put up huge numbers against the Killer Bunnies. As usual, the Bunnies will rely on QB Rodgers to keep the ball in the air. Hopefully, the rest of the team will match Rodgers' talent, since the Links are expected to be the "Killers" in this game. A Bunnies win would also make a great birthday present!
The Dancers weren't the only ones shopping at the free agent market this week. Mighty Long Dogs owner Bud went on a shopping spree of his own, shoring up on both sides of the ball. Good idea, since they'll be facing the undefeated Bad Ass Weazels. After the low scoring tie in week 1, the Weazels have been on fire, and are expected to continue their winning ways this week. If the Dogs want to win this one, they'll need QB Newton to put up the numbers he did in the first two weeks of the season. And, they'll need RB Foster, who is expected to play this week after being injured, to put up the numbers that made him a top RB last season.
Good luck all! See you next edition!

Hmph! I didn't want to stay undefeated anyway. And, who the hell invited that Lori into the BFL anyway?
