Week 8 Highlights:
The ic chargers had an unfortunate week, resulting in a 110-79 loss to the Bad Ass Weazels. The "Weazels" had an anemic performance by QB Chad Henne and his 6 points. Fortunately, they got great numbers from their running and defensive games. It also helped the "Asses" that the ic chargers had two players who didn't put up a single point and a so so performance by QB Donovan McNabb.
It was a close one over in The Mighty Dog House, as The Mighty Long Dogs narrowly beat The Dancers 108-101. The receiving corp was pretty non-existent for "The Dogs". But, their passing and running games, as well as their K, more than made up for the deficiency. It looks like the difference maker in this game was at the TE position for The Dancers. Unfortunately, starter Owen Daniels score no points, while backup Marcedes Lewis scored an impressive 17 points.
When you have a QB that puts up 38 points, a running game that combines for 36, a TE that scores 18, and a DST that scores 4 Int's and 2 TD's, you are pretty much guaranteed a win. And, that was the case, as the mighty The Lancelot Links overpowered the lowly DaBruDoggies 92-130. It didn't help the "Doggies" that both their TE and K scored no points at all.
Both the Romosexual Tendencies and the Dabalalas really needed a win. Both are having an unfortunate season. But, it looks like the "Romos" worked just a little bit harder and beat the "Las" 92-82. Despite playing the game with only one RB, the "Sexes" won this one on passing and defense. "Las" WR Mike Sims-Walker had a great performance. But, the rest of the team couldn't match it.
In It to Win It scored the second lowest point total this season. Not a surprise since they played their game against the Cheesesteaks with two players on byes and two players who were inactive due to injuries. Despite their lackluster passing and running games, the "Steaks" did well by their WR's, and beat the "Wins" 85-52.
The Killer Bunnies had the unfortunate task of taking on the St Louis Pandemic of Love after a narrow loss by the "Love" last week, and the "Pandemic" had their way with the "Bunnies", as they easily beat their opponent 112-89. Except for WR Calvin Johnson's 28 point game, the "Love" didn't have the best passing game. But, luckily their strong running game compensated for it.
Previews:
This week's match up between the Cheesesteaks and the Romosexual Tendencies marks the return of QB Michael Vick, and the Cheesesteaks, as well as Madden, are expecting Vick put up big numbers. On the other sideline, the "Romos" receiving corp is expected to put up big numbers. Both teams have handled the bye week shuffle well and this is expected to be an even match up. With both teams at 3-5, either team would welcome the win.
It's going to be an interesting one over at Lalaland Stadium between In It to Win It and the Dabalalas. It looks like the "Las" will be facing a nonexistent "Wins" front office. The question is whether the "Wins" will start the injured QB Tony Romo once again, and whether they will deal with their bye week shuffle issues. Barring any last minute tweaking, IADP expects the "Las" to finally put up their first win this season.
The ic chargers have quite the task ahead of them this week as they take on the mighty The Lancelot Links. "The Links" are currently the best team in the BFL, and their passing and receiving squads are expected to help "The Links" continue their excellent season. The "chargers" are also expected to do well by their receivers, but the whole team will have to step up if they want to take down "The Lances".
Will The Mighty Long Dogs be healthy enough to face The Pandemic of Love? "The Dogs" will need to be at full strength with "The Love" expecting huge numbers this week. With "Love" QB Tom Brady going up against the lowly Cleveland Browns pass defense and "The Love" receiving receiving squad expecting huge numbers, "The Mighty Dogs" have a mighty task, indeed.
The DaBruDoggies will travel north to take on the Bad Ass Weazels. Even though the "Brus" are out of the playoff picture, they haven't shied away from working the waver wire to help with their illusive second win. With the "Asses" currently in the wild card spot, look for them to work their hardest to keep their place on the leader board.
Our game of the week between the Killer Bunnies and The Dancers involves our two female owned teams. Both teams are having their best seasons, yet. And, both have been able to handled the bye week shuffle. Look for The Dancers to use their running game to their advantage. Look for the "Killers" to score most of their points in the air. We at IADP are calling this one the "So You Think You Can Hop" bowl.
Good luck all! See you next edition!

Alright, what's with all the hoarding of QB's.
I was just thinking the same thing myself
Is hoarding considered more than 2?!
No, it's just keeping me from finding a marquee replacement for Brees' bye :)
