Week 10

WOW! What a week. A rare tie. A winless team finally wins. And, the playoff picture is starting to form.

Note To Owners:
This weeks starts the NFL's Thursday night games. So, if you have any players scheduled to play a game on a Thursday, you have up until that player's kickoff time to bench him or set him in your lineup.

Week 9 Highlights:
Last week's 96-96 tie between The Pandemic of Love and The Mighty Long Dogs is only the second tie in BFL history, the first being back in season 1. Both teams got most of their points from their star RB's and got very little production from their receiving corps. We'll have to see whether this tie comes into play in the last couple of games when playoff positions are decided.

The Lancelot Links put up their lowest point total this season, but they continued their winning ways as they beat the ic chargers 90-71. "The Links'" win can be attributed to their passing game and their premier RB Adrian Peterson. Despite a bonus for QB Josh Freeman's 58 yard passing TD, most of the team scored in the single digits, and not enough of them to take down the powerful "Links".

The Dancers were ahead going into Monday night's game. The Killer Bunnies still had WR TO to play and needed 20 points to win the game. Well, Owens got those 20 points and more as the "Killers" took out The Dancers 122-115. Despite so so numbers by their QB and DST, The Dancers put up a well balanced game.

The Romosexual Tendencies had their best game yet this season and beat the Cheesesteaks 113-111. It was a seesaw battle that resulted in a very close game. Most of the "Steaks" points came by way of their passing and running games. On the other side of the ball, the "Romos" scored most of their points using their passing, receiving, and defensive games.

Big news, the DaBruDoggies won another game, this time against the Bad Ass Weazels 91-60. It was an average week for the "Doggies", who relied on their passing and DST to get the job done. The "Asses" can chalk this loss up to a poor performance by QB Chad Henne and his 3 Int's and no TD's, their running squad that combined for 12 points, and the teams lack of a starting TE.

Even bigger news, THE DABALALAS WON! It was against a pretty non-existent opponent, but it was a win. The "Las" put up one of their higher point totals despite playing the game with a WR on a bye and their TE inactive. Having started the game with an injured QB and WR, and a WR and K on a bye, In It to Win It pretty much gave the game away, and thus, loss to the "Las" 93-71

In The News:
IADP learned that Dabalalas owner Jim brought in a motivational speaker after their week 8 loss (their 8th in a row). So, we sent in our staff videographer to get some footage.

It looks like the speech worked!

Previews:
The Dabalalas have caught a second wind and are now ready to run right through the ic chargers in a quest to end the season on a winning streak. It's going to be quite the task for the "Las" since the "chargers" are well fortified this week. With some front office work, expect this to be a close one. But, also expect the "chargers" to work hard on getting out of their current losing funk.

If The Dancers can stay healthy this week, their are expected to have their way with the Bad Ass Weazels. The Dancers are having a good season, but they have suffered two losses in a row. The "Weazels" need this win to help them stay at or above their current 6th place spot to keep their playoff chances alive. It looks like Madden expects this one to be a high scorer.

IADP is guessing that the In It to Win It coaching and front office staffs have decided to end their season, a plus for their opponent, the Killer Bunnies. . . not that the "Bunnies" need the help since they are having their best season yet. Even though the "Killers" are expect to have an average game, IADP expects them to score a pretty lopsided victory.

This doesn't look to be a good week for the DaBruDoggies. They have both a star QB and RB on byes. Their other star RB is still injured. And, their fill in RB is about to give his duties back to the starter he replaced. All great news if you ask their opponent, the Cheesesteaks. The "Steaks" will look to capitalize on the "Doggies" woes as well as their own passing and defensive prowess.

The Romosexual Tendencies are having a woeful season. But, coming off of a two game winning streak, the momentum is in their favor. This week, they take on The Mighty Long Dogs who are making quite the splash in their BFL rookie season. Madden expects this to be a close one with most of the points coming from the "Dogs" passing and running games and the "Romos" receiving games.

Our IADP game of the week pits the 1st place The Lancelot Links against the 2nd place The Pandemic of Love. Both teams are very similar with strong running games and marquee QB's. Unfortunately for "The Links", they are dealing with injury issues and will need to work hard to keep their leader board position. "The Love's" issues may be more mental as they deal with the thought in the back of their heads that, no matter how high or low the score has been, only one team has been able to topple the mighty "Links". We at IADP are calling this game the "The Run For Number 1!"

Good luck all! See you next edition!
