Week 11

We are now getting close to the end of the regular season, the "Final Division Stretch". And, we are closer to knowing what teams will be playing in the BFL playoffs, and which teams will be watching them at home. Can you win the dash for the cash?! Will you beat your foe for the dough?! Will you get the riches by slapping your. . . DaBruDoggies?! Time will tell!

Week 10 Highlights:
It was an unfortunate week for The Mighty Long Dogs. Not only did they score well below their 103 point average, but their bench outscored their starting counterparts by 7 points. The biggest surprise on "The Dogs" side of the ball was the anemic performance by marquee QB Peyton Manning who put a measly 7 points. Although the Romosexual Tendencies didn't put up their biggest points this game, their WR Mike Wallace helped put them over the top with an impressive 25 points, resulting in a 84-61 win for the "Romos".

Just as we predicted, the Killer Bunnies murdered In It to Win It 101-50. The "Bunnies" can thank QB Mark Sanchez and RB Fred Jackson for putting them over the top. They can also thank the "Wins" for only starting two WR's and no DST.

The ic chargers had their best game ever, beating the Dabalalas 118-77. The "chargers" benefited from solid games by RB Maurice Jones-Drew and their Bears DST. The "Las" had one of those unfortunate weeks where the wrong lineup was chosen, as the "Dabs'" bench outscored their starting counterparts. An interesting fact, the right lineup would have resulted in a 1 point win for the "Las".

The Cheesesteaks got lackluster points from their DST with 8 points, WR Woodhead with 3, and no points at all from their TE. But, who cares. With help from QB Michael Vick's 6 total TD's and a strong running game, the "Steaks" beat the DaBruDoggies 150-75. The "Doggies" team barely showed up, although even if they were at full strength, the Cheesesteaks wouldn't have had any problem winning this one.

Despite scoring over 100 points for the eighth time this season, The Lancelot Links lost to The Pandemic of Love 132-104. "The Links'" loss can be attributed to a few factors, including an uncharacteristic 7 points by RB Adrian Peterson, 0 points by their TE, an injured K, and a backup QB that scored more than starter Eli Manning. On the other side of the ball, "The Love" put up a fairly balanced game, but benefited most from QB Tom Brady's solid 38 points. This win moves "The Love" into 1st place and drops "The Links" down to 2nd.

It was a great week for The Dancers who beat the Bad Ass Weazels 128-85. The Dancers can thank their QB Kyle Orton for his 35 points and WR's Dwayne Bowe and DeSean Jackson who combined for 45. The "Weazels" had another so so week with another rough one for their passing game which has suffered much of the season. This second loss in a row knocks the "Asses" out of the current playoff picture.

Speaking of The Dancers, their owner Jill is in our spotlight.

Spotlight:
Jill, you just put up your highest point total ever in the BFL. And, you're having your best season yet, including a likely playoff birth. As we head into the final division stretch, can The Dancers keep the momentum going?

Well, well, well. We will be wearing our legwarmers for the playoffs and maybe some lashes so we look good on camera. You can't stop the Dancers once they have the right music. Of course, facing The Love this week, we may need some extra special choreography. I wonder if Mark Minnick is available.

Previews:
After their 1 point loss earlier in the season, The Mighty Long Dogs will be looking to take revenge on the Killer Bunnies in their "Battle of the Bedroom" rematch. Both teams are doing well this season. And, they are only one position off on the leader board. And, both should have no trouble making it to the playoffs. Madden expects this to be a pretty even game with both teams relying on their passing and receiving games.

This is an important week for The Dancers. They not only face the top rated The Pandemic of Love, but they'll need to work hard to keep their current playoff position alive. The Dancers are expected to put up a strong effort. But, will it be enough to overcome the powerful running and passing games of "The Love"?

The ic chargers will host the lowly DaBruDoggies. As has been the norm this season, the "Doggies" are once again dealing with injuries, which include marquee RB Joseph Addai. The "chargers" don't have that problem and should do pretty well. Both teams are pretty much playing for pride at this point.

The Cheesesteaks are one position away from the wild card spot, so you know that they'll be putting all they can into making it through the final division stretch on a winning note. The first step is getting past the Dabalalas. The winner of this game may just be determined by the performance of the "Steaks" marquee QB Michael Vick and whether he has another monster performance like last week's.

Despite having a rough season, the Romosexual Tendencies have now won 3 in a row and currently hold the final wildcard position. They'll be facing In It to Win It and should be successful as long as they can stay healthy. As of this posting, the "Romos" have five players who are injured and have been limited in practice, one of which didn't practice at all.

The Bad Ass Weazels have lost 2 in a row, and their chances don't look too good as they face The Lancelot Links, who are coming off an unfortunate loss. Both teams are expected to have solid games. But, it's hard to dismiss "The Links" stellar record and weapons like QB Manning and RB Peterson.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
