Week 11 Highlights:
It was a great week for the DaBruDoggies who scored their highest point total this season (almost twice their previous week's score) and beat the ic chargers 142-100. The "Doggies" can thank the combination of QB Brees and WR Colston for connecting on 2 TD's, and WR Steve Johnson for scoring 3 TD's. The "chargers" had a good game all their own with an impressive 27 points from their DST and 23 from RB Jones-Drew. But, against the passing and receiving game of the "Doggies", it wasn't close.
The Pandemic of Love were ahead by 16 points going into Monday night's game, but The Dancers still had QB Kyle Orton to play. With Orton averaging 21 points per game, The Dancers definitely had a chance at taking this game. But, the Denver offense couldn't get much going, thus giving Orton only 12 points, helping "The Love" win the game 108-104. "The Pandemic" also benefited from "The Dancers'" bench who would have made the difference in the outcome of this game had some of them started.
". . . terror over the vengeance that will be unleashed upon [the Killer Bunnies] come week 11." That is a quote from IADP's week 2 interview with Bud, owner of The Mighty Long Dogs. And, it looks like "The Dogs" got their revenge against cross-house rival the Killer Bunnies, beating them 135-126. Both teams scored high and did well by their passing games. One unfortunately aspect for "The Dogs" was that their K Carpenter never got a chance to put up any points. Fortunately, their DST more than made up for the deficiency.
It was a tight one over at the SexArena between In It to Win It and the Romosexual Tendencies. The "Wins" put up a strong running game. The "Sexes" countered with their passing and receiving games. The "It Factor" was ahead by 21 points going into the Monday night game. But, the "Romos" came back and, with the help of QB Rivers' 57 yard TD pass, won their fourth game in a row, 102-100.
The woes continued for the Dabalalas who lost to the Cheesesteaks 102-95. It didn't help that "Las" WR Sims-Walker didn't play due to injury and TE Miller played while injured, resulting in little production. The "Steaks" won this one despite receiving no points from RB Bradshaw and a couple of benched players who outperformed their starting counterparts.
IADP isn't sure what would be the bigger headline. "The Lancelot Links Lose A Second Game In A Row" or "The Bad Ass Weazels Break Their Losing Streak And Take Down The Lancelot Links". The difference maker in this game was definitely TE Antonio Gates who didn't play due to a foot injury. Gates averages 15 points per game and most likely would have given "The Links" the win. But, it didn't happen. The "Weazels" won this one 115-103.
Speaking of the Bad Ass Weazals, their owner Dayton is in our spotlight.
Spotlight:
Dayton, you managed to beat the powerhouse The Lancelot Links, a major victory indeed. But, you are currently two games out of the wildcard spot. To get a playoff birth, you need to win your last two games and hope for a Cheesesteaks loss and two losses by the Romosexual Tendencies. Bottom line, can the "Weazels" do their part to get the job done?
Barring injuries, penis text pictures from Brett Favre and tantrums from Vince Young I’m confident we can run the table. I’ve had voodoo curses put on the entire rosters of the Cheesesteaks & Romo-homo’s. If not, I’m 0-10 in my other league so I’m use to the pain. Either way lets all over eat Thursday and have a great weekend. Good luck all (unless you’re playing me).Previews:
The Lancelot Links are already in the playoffs. But, whether they keep their 1st round bye depends on whether they can hold off the Cheesesteaks who are on a late season surge. The "Steaks" are one game out of the playoffs and really need a win (and a loss or two by The Dancers and the Romosexual Tendencies) for a chance at the Kibble Bowl. It looks like Madden believes that the "Cheeses" will do their part.
Barring a total meltdown by the team, The Mighty Long Dogs have pretty much secured their spot in the playoffs. This week, they take on the ic chargers. As usual, we can expect "The Dogs" passing game to put up a lot of points. The "chargers" look to utilize their running and receiving corps to make their opponent work for their playoff hunt.
With both teams fighting to stay in the top half of the league, the match up between The Dancers and the Romosexual Tendencies is an important one, although probably more so for the "Romos". With both the Cheesesteaks and the Bad Ass Weazels right on their tails, the loser of this game risks losing their wildcard position. If you follow the Madden projections, The Dancers may be in the clear.
After losing their wildcard status two weeks ago, the Bad Ass Weazels are fighting to get back into the playoff picture. There may be a problem, though. They are facing the Dabalalas who, despite having a bad season, are heavily favored to win this game. The "Weazels" aren't expected to have a bad game. But, it won't matter much if they can't outscore their opponent this week. We'll see if that voodoo magic works for them.
The game against the DaBruDoggies and the Killer Bunnies doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. The "Bunnies" have pretty much secured their playoff status. The "Brus" have no chance whatsoever of making it into the playoffs. The game probably means more to the "Doggies" because they have the chance to avenge their week 2 loss to the "Bunnies". The "Brus" are favored to win this one. But, with the Killer Bunnies averaging 103 points a game, you can't discount their ability to eke out a win.
Much like the above game, the match up between The Pandemic of Love and In It to Win It is pretty much an exhibition game. "The Love" are in, the "Wins" are out. As usual, we can expect "The Love's" passing and running games to dominate. Whether the "Wins" can stand up to "The Pandemic" may just depend on the health of their receiving corp. WR's Moss and Floyd are dealing with injuries. As of this posting, "The Love" are projected to win this one.
