Week 6

Which Gridiron Gang has All The Right Moves to make it to the Kibble Bowl? Which Program has The Game Plan to win on Any Given Sunday? What teams will be Fighting Back to The Best Of Times when they were Hometown Legends? It's still up in the air right now. But, six BFL teams will prove to be Invincible and make it to the playoffs. And, years from now, people will Remember The Titans that were the 2010 BFL playoff teams.

Week 5 Highlights:
The ic chargers had a great game resulting in 124 points, their highest point total so far this season. Their receiving corp put up an impressive 57 points. Their DST managed an impressive 27 points. Here's the problem. They went up against In It to Win It who had their, as well as the league's, second highest point total this season. The "Wins" were firing on all cylinders with almost all players scoring in double digits. They also benefited from two players scoring bonus points, QB Tony Romo's 69 yard TD pass and WR Malcolm Floyd's 213 receiving yards. Despite scoring high, the "chargers" didn't have a chance, losing 140-124 to the "Wins".

It was a close one, but The Dancers managed to eek out a second win in a row, this time against the Cheesesteaks 90-87. It looks like The Dancers' win is the result of impressive performances by RB Ray Rice and TE Marcedes Lewis who combined for almost half of The Dancers' points. The Cheesesteaks can probably blame their loss on QB Matt Schaub who only scored 3 points after producing no TD's, fumbling, and throwing an Int.

The DaBruDoggies lost a 98-97 heart breaker to the Romosexual Tendencies. Before Monday's game, the "Brus" were ahead by 4 points. They still had their K yet to play, and the "Romos" had their TE and a WR yet to play, so the "Doggies" didn't have much of a chance. Then, things started to look up for the "Brus", as K Nick Folk found the center of the goal posts 5 times, one of which being a 53 yarder. But alas, Vikings QB Bret Favre found his stride as well as "Romo" WR Percy Harvin in the endzone. . . twice. The only plus for the DaBruDoggies is that they tied with themselves for the record for most points scored by a K and currently hold 4 BFL records, the most of any team.

IADP isn't sure how to approach this next highlight. "Another win for the St Louis Pandemic of Love" or "Another loss for the Dabalalas." This was actually the best game so far this season for the "Las" who broke the 100 point threshold for the first time since last season. The "Las" had a couple of great performances. The problem is that they drew the "Love" this week, a team that had about five great performances. Despite losing, the "Dabas" improved majorly in Week 5. And, hopefully they will continue to improve. Maybe this 130-104 loss will be the motivation they need to turn this season around.

This may be a good time for The Lancelot Links owner Joey to play the lottery. He had what we at IADP consider to be a lucky game. Why lucky? Well, newly acquired QB Sam Bradford only scored 4 points (both backups scored more than five times as much), WR Mark Clayton left the game with a season-ending injury, and "The Links'" front office started the game without a K. It also helped that The Mighty Long Dogs had their worst game this season. QB Peyton Manning only scored 7 points, and their usually high scoring RB Arian Foster managed only 2 points. At 95-88, it was a close game, but "The Lances" definitely won this one in more ways than one.

The Killer Bunnies have done it again, this time beating the Bad Ass Weazels 118-79. The "Bunnies" scored their second highest points this season, and did well by their receiving corp which put up a combined 51 points. The "Weazels", unfortunately, had a second bad week in a row with their receiving corp scoring less than half that of the "Killers", not to mention their DST allowing 38 points. This win keeps the "Bunnies" undefeated and in second place on the leaderboard.

Speaking of the Killer Bunnies, their owner Caren is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Caren, you have one of the last remaining undefeated teams in the league. What's you secret? And, can you keep up your winnings ways without petering out like last year's season ending four game losing skid?

Well, thank you so much for bringing up the disastrous end to last season.  Here at the KB front office, we had finally put that behind us, but some people just have to be haters.  Oh by the way, how ARE  DaBruDoggies doing this year? MMM Hmmm. Anyway, to answer your question, I am completely thrilled by our success this year. But there is no secret; we've just been lucky enough to not have played the Pandemic yet. Who ARE those guys??  They are not human. Ummm, anyway,  Our players have mostly stayed healthy, and there's no overthinking up in the KB front office. These are the main contributing factors to our success.  We just let the players go out and play the game their way and let the chips fall where they may. So no secret, just good solid players and good match ups.  It's been a fun season so far.  Of course I'm winning so it's been more fun for me than for some...... right Antonio ?

IADP assumes that Caren is referring to Antonio, owner of the DaBruDoggies.

Preview:
The Dancers have really stepped up this season. They currently have a winning record and are in 5th place in the league. The ic chargers are in 8th place, unfamiliar territory for the '09 4th place finisher. This week, they meet at The Dancers' BalleArena for this mid season matchup. Currently, the match up looks pretty even. The Dancers are dealing with injuries on their running squad, but it looks like they are expected to play.

IADP expects this to change, but The Lancelot Links are currently projected to score a massive 160 points against In It to Win It. "The Links" may not score as much as that, but they have a pretty good chance of winning against the "Wins", whose front office has been very quiet all season. Actually, with the "Wins" having the two highest point totals this season, "The Links" may want to hit the practice field pretty hard this week.

The Bad Ass Weazels have had two weeks of bad ass luck, so they could really use the win. The Romosexual Tendencies are coming off of a much needed win and would really like to capitalize on the momentum. With a little front office work, we expect this game to be fairly even. However, both teams would really benefit from a win this week.

The Cheesesteaks are having another rough season and are currently in 10th place. Adding to their misfortune is the fact that they now have to play the mighty Killer Bunnies who have, so far, murdered every team they've faced in their quest to reach the playoffs for the first time. Currently, the "Steaks" are projected to put up a lot of points. But, no matter how many points a team scores, the "Bunnies" always seem to score a few more. So, the "Steaks" have a mighty task, to be sure.

Will QB Brett Favre start for the Dabalalas? Will he finally miss a game and ruin his 289 consecutive game record? Will the "Las" finally win a game this season? If it were up to The Mighty Long Dogs owner Bud, the answers would be yes, yes, and no. The "Dogs" have put up a lot of points this season, so this won't be an easy game for the "Dabas". Expect the "Lalas" to rely on their running game to put up points.

What can one say about the match up in St Louis' Love Stadium this week? You have the St Louis Pandemic of Love vs the DaBruDoggies. The #1 team against the #11 team. A team that has remained in the top 3 all season. A team that has remained in the bottom 3 all season. All but one game above 100 points. Not a single game over 100 points. 5-0. 1-4. We could say that this is a must win for the "Doggies", but their season may be beyond repair at this point.

Good luck all! See you next edition!

We would like to ask the St Louis Pandemic of Love to have mercy on us this week.
