Week 5

The thrill of victory (Only two undefeated teams left). The agony of defeat (Only one winless team left). That is the reality facing an owner in the BFL.

Note to BFL owners:
IADP has discovered that NFL Fantasy has added back to the site the "Upload a Custom Logo" feature. Now, it does crop the upload, so you may have to experiment with it. You can find the option under My Team > Edit Settings

Week 4 Highlights:
It took four weeks, but the DaBruDoggies finally got a win, beating In It to Win It 94-55. Except for their WR's, the "Doggies" put up a balanced effort which included 4 TD's. The "Doggies" may have also benefited from a dormant In It to Win It front office that may have still been celebrating their record breaking game last week, as they started their game with no QB or TE, although had the "Wins'" backups started, they still wouldn't have mustered up enough points to beat the "Brus".

It looks like The Lancelot Links woke up Tuesday morning in mourning after the Battle of the Mourning Zoo, having lost their undefeated status and their game 123-103 to the Killer Bunnies. IADP believes that this game was lost by QB Eli Manning, who had no TD passes and fumbled twice resulting in only 3 points in the game. His reserve QB David Garrard, however, had a much better game which included 3 TD's. The Killer Bunnies can thank controversial WR Terrell Owens for great numbers, including bonus points for 200+ passing yards. The Killer Bunnies are now one of only two remaining teams to be undefeated.

It wasn't the Cheesesteaks week, as they suffered another loss, this time to the St Louis Pandemic of Love 100-78. The "Steaks" didn't have much of a chance against the mighty "Love", especially against the "Love's" powerful DST that scored a TD and 9 sacks. Another unfortunate stat for the "Steaks" is that they only scored 8 more points than the "Love's" bench. This win, along with the Lancelot Links loss, moves the "Saints" into 1st place in the league.

The Romosexual Tendencies put up their lowest points so far this season in their 99-58 loss to the ic chargers. The "Romos" got almost no production from their team with only their QB and DST putting up double digits. They also ran into a little front office trouble, having started the game with no TE. The "chargers" showed a lot of improvement this week after two weeks of very low numbers. Much of that was due to a solid performance from their running game.

The rookie The Mighty Long Dogs continue to mark their territory in the BFL with another win, this time over the Bad Ass Weazels, 114-63. The "Dogs" got no points from two of their WR's. But, it didn't matter, as the rest of their squad, including star RB Arian Foster, put up solid numbers. This was an unfortunate setback for the Bad Ass Weazels in that this is the first week that they scored less than 100 points. It didn't help that they got very little out of their receiving corp and QB Jay Cutler who left the game injured with -3 points.

It's a sad day over in Dabalalaland. The Dabalalas have lost again, this time to The Dancers 71-66. The "Las'" front office got caught up in the bye week shuffle which left them without a DST, an error that could possibly have made a difference in the outcome of the game. The Dancers didn't put up huge numbers this week. But, they didn't need to against their undermanned opponent. Unfortunately for the Dabalalas, this loss means that they are now tied for longest losing streak, a huge contrast from their other record of longest win streak.

Speaking of the Dabalalas, their owner Jim is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Jim, you've lost four games in a row. You now hold the BFL record for longest winning and losing streak. Is this the end of the Dabalalas Dynasty? Do you think that you can turn the "Las" season around?

The Dabalalas are looking forward to our opening day game this year and I guarantee a win. We feel that we can't be beat and we'll, once again, triumph over the entire league. The team is looking better than ever and as soon as this season gets started we'll prove to everyone just how good we are. I do have one concern...we still haven't received our schedule. Could you send it to us or is there someplace online we could find it? Look out league, the Dablalalas are here to win!!!!

After receiving detailed information from other team owners I have learned that the season began four weeks ago and the Dabalalas are 0-4. At this time the Dabalalas are officially playing the entire season under protest and will submit to the league officials reasons for the first four games of the season to be nullified. You will be hearing from the Dabalala's attorneys.

IADP apologizes to Jim for laughing out loud at his response.

Preview:
The Mighty Long Dogs are looking to continue their dominance as they host The Lancelot Links who are looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season. We at IADP expect this to be a close game with "The Links" running corp working hard to counter the passing game of the "Dogs".

As long as their RB's are healthy by Sunday, the ic chargers should fare well in their visit to In It to Win It. The "chargers" should also do well by their defense, which has a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers who are pretty low on the offensive front. It's a little harder to figure out In It to Win It, since their front office has been pretty quiet this season. But, we can figure out that the "Wins" need a win to stay alive.

Fresh off of a much needed win, the DaBruDoggies hope to score another W, this time against the Romosexual Tendencies. With a 1-3 record, both teams aren't having the best season. The "Romos" have had a major string of bad luck with mid-game personnel issues. The "Brus" have had problems with marquee players not putting up the numbers that they have in the past. Hopefully, the "Sexes" can complete this game without losing anymore players to injuries. And hopefully, the "Doggies" can rely on their Superbowl champion players to get on the ball.

Can the Killer Bunnies continue their dominance? If you ask Bad Ass Weazel's coach Bug, the answer is, "No!" After a bad week 4, the "Weazels" are hoping to go back to their 100+ point winning ways. Expect to see most of the "Bunnies" points come by way of their passing game. As of this posting, and barring any front office misteps, Madden has this game fairly even.

The Cheesesteaks need a win, and they hope to score one this week against The Dancers. Unfortunately, they'll have to do it without high scoring QB Michael Vick who was injured in last week's game. The "Steaks'" front office has been busy, once again, overhauling and tweaking this week. The Dancers are starting out the season much like last season, with a 2-2 record. It looks like Madden expects them to pass all over the "Cheeses".

The Dabalalas picked a fine time to "start" their season. They go against the St Louis Pandemic of Love who are in the middle of their best start ever in the BFL. The "Love" are heavily favored to win this game, with RB Chris Johnson expected to return to form after low points last week. The Dabalalas may need to borrow the DaBruDoggies' newly acquired lucky killer bunnies foot to help them win this one.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
