Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Killer Bunnies owner Careeeeeeeen! Happy Birthday to you. IADP is guessing that you are wishes for a 4-0 record this week!
The time has come. Bye week season. The time when BFL coaches and front offices begin the "bye week shuffle." Don't let your team miss out on points because of a lack of backup players.
Week 3 Highlights:
The bad luck continues for the Dabalalas, this time having lost to The Lancelot Links 67-108. "The Links" had another strong game including an impressive, although not surprising, 31 points by RB Adrian Peterson. What makes this loss even harder for the "Las" is that their bench actually outscored their starting counterparts by 3 points.
It looks like the bad luck pandemic has infected another playoff team. The ic chargers scored a second loss in a row, losing to the Killer Bunnies 65-68. It was a win for the Killer Bunnies, although not a pretty one. The "Killers" scored way below their average this season with their running and receiving corps putting up single digits. And, much like the Dabalalas, the "Bunnies" bench outscored the starters. But, a W is a W. And, at the end of the season, that small w can mean the difference between playing in the playoffs or watching them from the sideline. This loss moves the "chargers" into 10th place, right above the 11th place DaBruDoggies and the 12th place Dabalalas. This means that three of the four 2009 playoff teams are now at the very bottom of the pack.
The Cheesesteaks were ahead going into the Monday night game. But, the Bad Ass Weazels still had QB Jay Cutler to play. Cutler didn't have the greatest game, but his 15 points were enough to give the "Asses" a 122-116 win, handing the Cheesesteaks their second loss in a row. The "Steaks" had a good game, especially from QB Michael Vick, who scored 4 total touchdowns, one of which being a 50+ yarder, giving the "Steaks" a 2 point bonus. The "Weazals'" win is most likely due to to their impressive DST, who got 4 sacks, recovered 3 fumbles, intercepted twice, and returned two punts for TD's.
The Romosexual Tendencies showed improvement over their Week 2 numbers, but they played against the powerful St Louis Pandemic of Love and lost 119-94. For the second week in a row, the "Romos" had a player leave the game injured. And, for the second week in a row, TE Dustin Keller put up great numbers, but he did it on the bench. "Love" RB Chris Johnson was back to form, putting up a solid 24 points. The "Saints" also saw major improvement by TE Tony Gonzalez, who put up 17 points.
The Dancers had a good week, scoring their highest points so far this season. The problem? They played In It to Win It, who had a great week resulting in a 152-99 win. The Dancers did well by their receiving corp who put a solid 41 points and a couple of TD's from their QB. But, the "Wins" pretty much had everything go right for them, including all but two players scoring in double digits. The "Wins" also benefited from a 2 point bonus for QB Tony Romo's 63 yard TD pass. Oh, and one more thing. "Wins" WR Malcolm Floyd caught a 25 yard pass 48 seconds before the end of the game. That last minute reception moved In It to Win It into the record books by breaking the BFL record for most points scored by a team, the record previously held by The Lancelot Links.
For you veteran BFL owners, you'll be glad to know that the Easy Wins have been reinstated by the league, although they now go by the name, DaBruDoggies. The "Doggies", off to their worst start ever, have fallen again, this time to The Mighty Long Dogs 89-128. The "Brus" are improving, increasing their point total each week, but that means nothing if those improvements aren't leading to wins. "The Long Dogs" passed all over the "Brus" with QB Peyton Manning scoring a decent 31 points and the receiving corp accounting for 56 points.
Spotlight:
Our normal interviewer is at an appointment with his therapist this week. So, IADP asked The Lancelot Links owner, Joey, to conduct our spotlight this week.
Antonio, I noticed that you have a lot of New Orleans Saints on your BFL team. Do you think having so many players from the same NFL team is keeping you from winning, or are they going to have a turnaround and become your saving grace? And, how are you going to rally the troops this week?Previews:
The Bad Ass Weazels travel to The Mighty Long Dogs this week. Both teams are riding a two game win streak. They are one position off on the leader board, 4th and 5th place respectively. Look for the "Weazals" to pass all over "The Dogs" with their receiving corp of Smith, Marshall, and Ochocinco. "The Dogs" hope to counter that with their running corp of Foster and Thomas.
The Dabalalas are close to breaking another BFL record. This isn't necessarily a good thing, because they are on the verge of countering their longest winning streak record with a tie for the longest losing streak record. In order to avoid that unfortunate position, they'll have to take down The Dancers. The Dancers' front office has been very busy shoring up their offense this week in the hopes of taking down the reigning champion. IADP feels that the winner of this game will benefit from a huge confidence and momentum boost.
This week's match up between the DaBruDoggies and In It to Win It is probably the most important game ever for the "Brus". At 0-3, they are probably only a couple of games away from not having a chance at the playoffs. And, they are playing a team that is experiencing a huge momentum boost after a record breaking game. Look for coach Antonio to be on the sideline praying to the fantasy gods for a much needed win.
In their game against the Romosexual Tendencies this week, it looks like the ic chargers will be relying on their running game to lift them out of their current two game slump. The "Romos" are also dealing with a two game losing streak and look to be relying on their passing game to help them out. As of this posting, Madden has the teams fairly even.
After having lost two in a row, the Cheesesteaks' schedule doesn't get any easier this week as they face the undefeated St Louis Pandemic of Love. The "Love" have a strong running game, probably the best in the league. And, they need it to offset their receiving game. The Cheesesteaks will need their passing and DST squads to step up like they have in the past two weeks to overcome the "Love".
IADP's game of the week pits the undefeated The Lancelot Links against the undefeated Killer Bunnies. "The Links" are #1 on the leader board, and rightfully so. They have scored in the triple digits every week. The "Bunnies" have done well themselves, despite their low score last week. A possible plus for the "Bunnies" is that "Links" #2 ranked RB Adrian Peterson is on a bye this week. Look for the "Killers" to exploit that deficiency. Because one of these animal mascotted teams will wake up Tuesday having lost their undefeated status, we at IADP are calling this game the "Battle of the Mourning Zoo".
Good luck all! See you next edition!

I'm very sad that there has been no trash talking this year. I know we all don't know each other well, but come on people, this is fantasy football! Ok, nevermind, that wasn't very good. Someone else want to try?
