Week 2

What an opener! A 122 point high! A 55 point low. A last minute win! A missing defense! Just another week in the BFL!

Week 1 Highlights:
It was an unfortunate opener for The Dancers, losing 105-57 to the St Louis Pandemic Of Love. "Dancers" QB " Kevin Kolb left the game with a concussion. And, except for their top two WRs, the rest of The Dancers underperformed. Most of the "Loves points came by way of QB Tom Brady's 3 TD passes and RB Chris Johnson's 2 TDs and butt load of yardage. The "Love" also benefited from 2 bonus points for K Mason Crosby who kicked a 56 yarder.

BFL newcomer Romosexual Tendencies made a great first impression with a 106-78 win over In It to Win It. With only two players posting less than stellar numbers, the "Romos" had a well balanced game, which proved to be too much for the mostly single digits of the "Wins".

IADP understands that there may have been some technical difficulties over in the Dabalalas camp. Coach Jim wasn't able to change his lineup, which left him with no K and no DST. It doesn't look like it would have changed the outcome of the game as their Minnesota DST scored 13 points and their K Shayne Graham was cut by the Ravens. This made for an easy 30 point win for the Cheesesteaks, who won 85-55.

The DaBruDoggies suffered a major jolt from the ic chargers, who shocked the "Doggies" 103-76. The "Brus" RB Darren McFadden scored an impressive 20 points. Unfortunately for coach Antonio, McFadden was on the bench. Either way, the "Doggies" wouldn't have had a chance, especially with the "chargers" DST scoring an Int, 2 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries.

It was a seesaw battle over in Weazel Stadium. The Lancelot Links and the Bad Ass Weazals battled back and forth throughout the weekend. Then on Monday night, "Links" TE Antonio Gates helped coach Joey hop off the teeter totter, leaving "Weazals" coach Dayton up in the air only to drop hard. The "Weazals" put up an impressive high scoring game. But, with the "Lance's" overwhelming passing game and their strong defense that produced 4 sacks, 3 Int's, and 2 fumble recoveries, the "Asses" couldn't finish the scoring marathon, thus losing 113-122.

The Battle Of The Bedroom was everything it promised to be, and more. It was tense all weekend between the Killer Bunnies and The Mighty Long Dogs. By the end of the first Monday night game, The "Dogs" were ahead by 1 point. But, the Killer Bunnies had one more player in the late game. That player was K Nate Kaeding who needed to kick a mere 2 PAT's to win it for the "Bunnies". Kaeding kicked an extra point in the first quarter. Tied! Then, it seemed that he would never get in a position to kick a second one as the San Diego offence sputtered. But, late in the third quarter, Kaeding finally got his second opportunity and took it, which helped the "Bunnies" beat their across-house rival "Long Dogs" 102-101. It looks like coach Bud won't have to sleep on the sofa tonight.

Speaking of The Mighty Long Dogs, their owner Bud is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Bud, what a nail biter. You lost by one point. You must have been on the edge of your. . . bed, with the game being tied well into the midnight hour. Tell us what the atmosphere was like at the Bunnies/Dogs headquarters the next day.

"Damn, Damn, Damn!" Blast that Beanie Wells!!  The score was tied at 101 when we hit the hay at half time of Monday Night game one. As suspected, the Bunnies' kicker in the late game made the difference. Nix that! It was poor coaching on the MLD's part that made the difference. It wasn't until game time Sunday when we found that Ole Beanie had been made Inactive which left Arain Foster on the bench. "Damn, Damn, Damn!" Able to overcome, the residents of Dogville were still excited about the team's BFL debut. Meanwhile, the Bunnies crew was eerily quiet. Almost complacent. Even surprised at the intensity and fervor of the Dogs' fans. Humble? Or sheer terror over the vengeance that will be unleashed upon them come week 11. Somehow our team will get over this week's disappointment and move on to our next challenge. (Cookies usually help with this.) Our management has been working the wavier wire hard and we are looking forward to this week's match up with division foe ic chargers.

Preview:
In It to Win It have quite the battle this week as they face the perennial powerhouse St Louis Pandemic of Love. With questions about whether some of their injured players will play this Sunday, the "Wins" chances are up in the air. On the other side of the ball, the "Love" look healthy. Their issue seems to be whether their receiving corp can step up and match their running game.

Can backup QB Michael Vick return to his pre-scandal glory? Cheesesteaks coach Kurt and Madden '11 seem to think so. But, the Cheesesteaks face a mighty foe in The Lancelot Links, who not only scored the most points of any team last week, but currently hold the BFL record for most points scored by a team. As of this posting, Madden predicts this game to be pretty even.

The Dancers will be looking to up their game after having suffered an unfortunate opening week. They've had to turn to the bench to replace injured QB Kevin Kolb with former Washington DC's most put upon QB Jason Campbell. Their opponent, the Romosexuals Tendencies, should have another solid week. If QB Philip Rivers can overcome his team's miscues and bad weather, as he did last week to score 25 points, the "Romos" should have no problem this week.

This may not be the best week to face The Mighty Long Dogs, after having lost a heart breaker to the Killer Bunnies. But, the ic chargers have drawn them for week 2. Look for "The Dogs" to take out their frustrations on the "chargers". Look for the "chargers" to try for another solid effort like last week.

Hopefully, the Dabalalas technical difficulties have been fixed, and that they have a DST that is starting and a K that is not only starting, but also still employed by a team. And, hopefully they can handle the Bad Ass Weazals, who are coming off of a strong performance, but a disappointing loss. Other than the Dabalalas replacing their cut K, both teams' front offices have been fairly quiet in the free agent/waiver department.

The Killer Bunnies and the DaBruDoggies will be duking it out for the second season in a row as division rivals. The "Bunnies" would love to take revenge on the "Doggies" for stepping over them in their quest for the playoffs last season. The "Brus" are hoping for a better performance from their star franchise QB Drew Brees, who didn't have the most spectacular performance last week. As of this posting, Madden seems to think that the "Doggies" will take this one.

Good luck all! See you next edition! And, don't forget to vote for your favorite logo!
