Week 11

Hail to the BFL! Hail victory! [insert your team name here] on the warpath! Fight for ol' fantasy. . . . . . uh, points!

Week 10 Highlights:
It was a sad day over at St. Louis Pandemic of Love headquarters. The BFL powerhouse suffered a devastating 105-63 loss to Running Wild. The win helped move the "Wild" into second place on the score leader board, only 16 points behind the first place "Love."

QB Payton Manning scored an impressive 33 points for the cheesesteaks. The rest of the team didn't quite do as well. Not to mention, they went up against The Pan Troglodytes and their powerful running game. "Trogs" RB Chris Johnson had another monster performance with 35 points. In the end, the cheesesteaks 110-78 loss puts the "steaks" on a three game losing streak.

The i c chargers beat the Average Joes 95-87. Now, not to take away from the "chargers" win, but the story of this game is the "Joes" running game. Of the four RB's on the "Joes" roster, three of them scored 2 touchdowns each, and none of them scored less than 18 points. The "Joes" loss is most likely attributed to their receiving squad who only scored a combined 10 points.

Our nail biter of the week involved The Bad-Ass Bug against the DaBruDoggies. The Bad-Ass Bug were ahead 70-51, but the DaBruDoggies' Baltimore DST hadn't played their Monday night game yet. Using Baltimore's DST average, the game would have been a lock for "The Bug." Fortunately for the "Doggies", Baltimore played the lowly Cleveland Browns and got 4 SACK's, 2 Int's, a DTD and held the Browns to 0 points, thus scoring 28 points and helping the "Doggies" win 79-70.

It's no surprises that The Dancers beat the Easy Wins 79-53, but IADP has gotten wind of a rumor that a few owners in the BFL are getting a little nervous about the Easy Wins. The Easy Wins scored an impressive 53 points thanks to WR Legedu Naanee, K Ryan Succop, and an awesome 20 points by WR Sidney Rice. A little history for you BFL rookies, the Easy Wins have actually won games in previous seasons.

Dabalalas WR Mark Clayton didn't score a single point in week 10. But, who cares? The "Las" other WR's, along with both of their RB's and QB, all scored in the 20's, resulting in a huge 140-85 win over The Good Kind of Limping Scrod. "The Scrod" reserve squad scored only 16 points less than their starting counterparts, but even with a lineup change, the "Las" would have been too much for "The Scrod." Speaking of the Dabalalas, their owner, Jim, is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Jim, you are currently in a three way tie for first place in the West Division. What are the Dabalalas' coaches working on this week in practice to take on the powerhouse Running Wild, who currently have the best record in the BFL?

This season has been the first season that the Dabalas have been plagued with injuries. We lost both of our quarterbacks in the second week, both with broken ribs. And now our star running back has had his second concussion within three games On top of all of that our linebackers coach has been diagnosed with an enlarged prostrate and our Gatorade boy has an extreme case of gastritis. This year has been more challenging that the past few years but we're continuing to stay the course and toe the line by never letting up on our workout regimen and our returning to the basics. I mean come on, we just scored 140 points with only six players showing up on the field of play.

More than likely my staff and I will be going over our game plans late in the night and then finish our session as we usually do....retiring to our local Chili's! Chili's, it's where you can feed your whole family for almost what it takes to cook at home. Stop by for our refreshing libations, Old Fashioned hamburgers and don't forget those luscious Baby Back Ribs. I think it' would behoove me to mention that Chili's is now the anchor sponsor of the Dabalas.

Previews:
After a three game losing streak, The Dancers have stepped up and won two in a row. Now they face the powerful running game of The Pan Troglodytes who are in a three way tie for first place in the powerfully tight West Division. It looks like The Dancers will be relying on their special teams to put up the most points this week.

Two weeks ago, the i c chargers were at .500. Fast forward to now, they've won two in row and now face the mighty St. Louis Pandemic of Love who are coming off of an unfortunate loss. The "Love" will be working hard to rack up as many points as they can to keep Running Wild from overtaking them on the score leader board.

Things haven't been going well over at the cheesesteaks camp. After an impressive 142 points in week 7, the cheesesteaks have been on a steady slide. The "steaks" have a great team on paper, but they haven't been producing like they should. This week they face the DaBruDoggies who, contrary to their win/loss record, aren't a high scoring team. This could mean a much needed win for the cheesesteaks.

Running Wild has become the team to beat in the BFL. Not only have they won their last three games, but they've done so with no less than a 29 point margin. The next team they look to devour is the Dabalalas. The "Las" dominated last week, but as of this posting, the "Wild" is favored to take this one.

The Average Joes are hoping for a repeat performance by their powerful running squad, this time against The Good Kind Of Limping Scrod. Look for "The Scrod" to do whatever it takes to win in hopes of climbing above the St. Louis Pandemic of Love at the top of the Central Division.

The Bad-Ass Bug are badly in need of a good-ass win. Fortunately for them, they play the hapless Easy Wins this week. Look for "The Bug" to squash the "Wins."

Good luck all! See you next edition!
