Week 2

It was an exciting opening week in the BFL. Well, exciting for some, maybe not so for others.

Week 1 Highlights:
Benefitting from a great defensive stance, the i c chargers trounced all over The Bad-Ass Bug, 111-66. The "chargers'" DST scored a BFL record high 43 points.

The DaBruDoggies posted a 108-86 win against the Average Joes due to the magnificent effort of their QB Drew Brees who led the "Doggies" with 48 points by throwing six touchdown passes and putting up 358 yards through the air.

It's no surprise that the St. Louis Pandemic Of Love took down the Easy Wins 112-26. The story here is that the "Love" won with a well balanced attack. All but two of their players scored double digits.

The Good Kind Of Limping Scrod scored its first league win by taking out the cheesestakes 98-67. Unfortunately for the "cheeses", they suffered from some non-stellar performances. The cheesestakes also lost WR Anthony Gonzalez to a knee injury during the game.

With the help of QB Tom Brady's 25 points, Running Wild scored a 90-74 win over The Dancers. The Dancers got a good defensive effort from their Giants DST, but it wasn't enough to take down the "Wild".

Even with a solid effort from QB Donovan McNabb, despite breaking a rib during the game, it wasn't enough for 2008 BFL Champion Dabalalas in their 116-97 loss to The Pan Troglodytes. Speaking of the "Dytes", their owner, Joey, is in our spotlight this week.

Spotlight:
Joey, how did you feel when you discovered that you had scored the most points in the league for week 1?

I am surprised and shocked to have scored the highest this week. I will be honest that when I reviewed my team after the draft- I did not have high hopes for this season. We all know that anything can happen, so I won't pretend to claim any kind of genius plan is at work. (Although it might be...) I am especially pleased with my offensive coach, Lancelot Link, he really got those players in good shape. I personally called him on the banana phone on Tuesday morning congratulate him. Look out for us in week two!

Previews:
After getting rid of WR Anthony Gonzalez, the cheesesteaks still have an uphill climb against the St. Louis Pandemic Of Love who are currently heavily favored in week 2.

Expect a tight game between the Dabalalas and The Bad-Ass Bug. The fantasy "Guru" has them pretty even this week.

Also, expect another tight one between Running Wild and the DaBruDoggies. After some tweaking, both teams should be about even for this game.

Our game of the week pits The Pan Troglodytes against the i c chargers. Two of our highest scorers so far, 1st and 3rd place respectively, expect these two teams to put up quite the battle.

The Average Joes look to have a better performance this week as it hosts The Dancers. With a little tweaking (The Dancers' reserve QB Jason Campbell is expected to have a good game against the lowly Rams and the Average Joes still have suspended K Garrett Hartley on their roster) both teams should have a better second week.

And finally, our lucky team of the week is The Good Kind Of Limping Scrod who is being hosted by the Easy Wins. The "Wins" had to replace WR Chandler Williams who was cut from the Atlanta Falcons.

Good luck all! See you next edition.

Goddamn Greg Jennings(WR) cost me my game.

Well, that's okay, at least Aaron Rodgers threw to all of his other receiving core. I asked him not to throw to Greg, and he happily obliged me. Thanks Aaron!!!
