Week 13

We've reached that point. The final week of the regular season. Five teams have their playoff spots secured. Five teams are duking it out for a wildcard spot. Two teams are in a position to ruin those wildcard chances. It's going to be an exciting week 13 in the BFL.

Note To Owners:
For those of you who gave me checks, I will be depositing them this week.

Week 12 Highlights:
The Manassholes continued their streak, winning their fifth in a row by beating the DaBruDoggies 109-102. With two players scoring 0 points, the M-holes dodged a bullet. WR Lockett was ineffective, posting just 2 yards. WR Crabtree was ejected for fighting. But, the rest of the team all scored double digits, including K Tucker and his bonus 50+ yarder. This was one of the Brus better games thanks to TD's from three of their four receivers. The most likely reasons for the loss are RB Fournette, who had his worst game of the season, and QB Brees, who put up one of his lower scores of the season. The Manassholes win, along with the Lancelot Links loss, puts them at the top of the league.

An amazing finish between the Lancelot Links and Bad Ass Weazels with the Weazels edging out the Links 114-113. Most of the Links points came by way of their receiving squad. Both WR Anderson and TE Gronkowski dominated the team, both putting up 2 TDs for 20+ points. The Lances running game was also fairly decent, combining for almost 30 points. The Weazels also saw most of their points come by way of the receiving squad, except they mostly came from one player, WR Jones. The receiver came 2 points short of the BFL record thanks to his 2 TDs and 200+ receiving yards for a bonus 2. The win guaranteed a playoff spot for the Bad Asses.

The Dancers have been on fire lately. They averaged 80 points in the first half of the season. But, since week eight, they've averaged 113. The Dancers won their second in a row in high fashion, toppling the Dabalalas 128-107. There are two reasons why. The Dancers Panthers DST and their 2 TDs and 3 sacks, totalling 28 points, and QB Roethlisberger, who scored in the 30s for the second week in a row thanks to his 4 TD passes. The Las also did well by their DEF and QB, 27 and 29 points, respectively. TE Ertz's 100+ yards and a TD helped the Las also. But, the Las just didn't have a chance. It also didn't help that they started an inactive TE, although their backup wouldn't have made a difference.

A second loss in a row for the Bug, thanks to a lackluster game by QB Brissett (a FUM and no TDs) and TE Cook (1 REC yard). They did, however, do well by their Patriots DEF, who produced a monster 7 sacks. And, although he didn't catch any TD passes, WR Sanu threw a 51 yard TD pass for 16 total points. For those confused by the 16 points, here's the breakdown. 6 for his 64 yards, 6 for the TD pass, 2 for passing 51 yards, and a bonus 2 for the TD being a 50+ yarder. For Password is Taco, they had a much better QB output. Wilson threw 2 and rushed for another for 27 points. Also, WR Crowder had his best game of the season with a TD and 141 REC yards. The Tacos also benefited from a bonus 50+ yarder by K Boswell.

The Pandemic of Love are fighting to stay alive. And they helped their cause with a 97-89 win over the Love Supremes. It was WR Allen that probably cemented it for the Pandemic. The receiver caught 172 yards and a TD for 23 points. The Pandemic also saw a solid effort by their DEF, thanks to a FUM REC for a TD. For the Supies, it was QB Brady and RB Kamara who carried the team. The QB posted an impressive 4 TD passes. The RB posted almost 190 total yards and 2 TDs. Contributing to the loss for the Supies was 0 points from WR Coleman and TE Bennett being left in the starting lineup despite being inactive.

The Half Smokes continued their late-season slump, tying their second lowest points of the season and losing their second game in a row, this time to the ic chargers 93-64. Smokies QB Dalton was decent with 2 TD passes, and their Seahawks DEF held their opponent to 13 points. But, the rest of the team was barely there, with not a single ball-carrier producing any TDs. It was looking a little scary at first for the icees with QB Prescott putting up a measly 3 points, while his backup put up 31. But, WR Brown came through, receiving almost 170 yards, a TD, and a 2PT conversion. That, along with 15 points by WR Cooks, made this game a fairly easy one for the icees.
