Only three games left in the regular season. Some teams will make it beyond, some will not, one never had a chance. Check out the playoff outlook after last week's highlights below.
Week 10 Highlights:
The Bad Ass Weazels win their fourth game in a row by almost doubling the DaBruDoggies 125-65. The Brus had all sorts of bad luck. RB Jones left the game with an injury in the first quarter. RB Fournette was held in check. WR Ginn did nothing. Even QB Brees didn't contribute much since his team did so well running the ball, meaning he didn't have to throw much. There were a couple of highlights. The Brus defense scored a TD and WR Shepard caught 142 yards. But, that's it. The Weazels had a much better game. Standouts on the Bad Ass squad included WR Funchess' 2 TDs, K Zuerlein's 4 FGs, including a bonus 50+ yarder. And, QB Goff was on fire with 3 passing TDs, one of which being a 94 yarder for a bonus 2.
The Lancelot Links win again, this time handing the Pandemic of Love their third loss in a row, winning 123-91. There was only one setback for the Links. RB Freeman left the game with a concussion. It didn't matter. Three of the their ball carriers saw double digits. Their DST returned a TD. And, the star of the game, QB Newton was back to his high scoring ways with 4 TDs and no INTs for 43 total points. For the Pandemic, their air attack wasn't bad. WRs Thomas and Lee, as well as TE Engram scored TDs. They were a little let down by their ground attack with no TDs and nominal yardage. Unfortunately, the Pandemic left a whole lot of points on the bench, but that wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game.
It was a squeaker of a win for the ic chargers against the Dancers. The Dancers actually saw more double digit performances than the icees, including QB Roethlisberger's 21 points by way of 2 TDs, RB Murray's 25 by way of 3 combined TDs, and K Lutz's 13 by way of a bonus 50+ yarder. There are two reasons the chargers won this contest. RB Ingram, who was on fire thanks to his 3 rushing TDs and 131 rushing yards, and their Falcons defense, who put up an impressive 8 sacks and 2 fumbles as well held their opponent to just 7 points. WR Diggs' TD and 78 receiving yards also helped the ic chargers beat the Dancers 108-107.
It's no surprise that the Bug beat the Dabalalas. The Las played the game with three starters on Byes and no defense in place, so we'll focus solely on the Bug. The Buggers were somewhat weak on receiving yards, with only WR Hopkins putting up more than 2 points, thanks to 111 receiving yards. RB McCaffrey carried the running squad with both a rushing and receiving TD. QB Manning's 2 TD passes resulted in his best game since week four. And, their Rams defense was solid, holding their opponent to 7 points and producing 2 FUMs, 2 INTs and 3 sacks. The Bug easily finished this one 86-42.
It looked like it was going to end in a tie between the Manassholes and Love Supremes. Going into the Monday night game, the teams were tied at 89. But, the M-holes still had Miami RB Drake to play. The Dolphins were way behind in the game, a situation that usually results in abandoning the ground game. But, Drake managed a rushing TD in the 3rd quarter. And, along with his 92 total yards, resulted in a 104-89 win for the M-holes. The other star of the game for the Holes was WR Woods, who put up 2 TDs for 29 points. There were a couple of star-worthy performance on the Supies side of the ball as well. RB Kamara put up 138 total yards and a TD and QB Brady threw 3 TD passes and no INTs.
Another tight game, this time between the Half Smokes and Password is Taco, with the Smokies edging out the Tacos 79-77. There weren't a whole lot of big numbers put up in the game. Highlights include Taco QB Wilson and his 2 TDs and Smokies QB Dalton's 2 TD passes, including a bonus 2 for his 70 yard TD pass to WR Green, resulting in 17 points for the receiver. Despite a second so so game in a row for the Smokies, they remain in second place and tied for the second best record in the league.
Playoff Picture:
The 8-2 Lancelot Links, at 1st place and at the top of the scoring leaderboard, have already solidified their playoff spot. Barring anything unusual happening, they'll likely have a first round Bye.
The Half Smokes and Manassholes have pretty much punched their playoff ticket. They both will likely be in a position to battle it out for a first round Bye.
The Bad Ass Weazels and ic chargers should have no problem making it to the playoffs as long as they don't drop too many games.
The Bug, Pandemic of Love, Love Supremes, and Password is Taco are in the hunt, but it's going to take a few wins to get there.
The Dabalalas, Dancers, and DaBruDoggies are pretty much playing for pride at this point.
