Fantasy football! Who could ask for anything more?! . . Well, actually, . . the Kibble Bowl Trophy would be nice.
Week 2 Highlights:
Another win for the Lancelot Links, this time beating the Bad Ass Weazels 120-105. Both teams put up similar numbers. The Links and Weazels runners put up great numbers. And, their defenses were solid. But, the difference maker was definitely Lance TE Gronkowski whose TD and 100+ receiving yards was the nail in the coffin for the Asses. This game was over early with Weazels going into Monday night behind by 29 points. And, they finished strong. But, not strong enough to overcome the deficit.
The Dancers were solid, facing the Dabalalas, and defeating them 108-75. Dancers QB Roethlisberger didn't put a ton of yards. But, his 2 TD passes and no turnovers resulted in a solid 21 points. And, both of the Dancers runners found the endzone, as well as TE Walker. The Las were let down by RB Howard who couldn't get it going. And, only WR Stills made it into the endzone. TE Ertz was solid with 97 yards, but not scoring any TDs didn't help.
Another unfortunate outcome for Password is Taco, losing to The Bug 98-66. Their defense put up a decent effort, scoring 25 points thanks to a TD and a couple of INTs. But, with only one ball carrier finding the endzone, the Tacos didn't have much of a chance. It also didn't help that WR Nelson left the game in their first possession with an injury. The Bugs front office did some research during the week and picked up the Buccaneers DST. That move payed off, producing a TD and a couple of INTs and fumbles. The Bug also benefited from a strong effort by WR Sanders with 2 TDs.
It was a tight finish between the Love Supremes and the Pandemic of Love. The Pandemic were ahead Sunday night. But, the Supies still had two players to play, WRs Marshall and Jones. Marshall's 17 yards didn't add much. But, Jones' TD helped put the Supies on top. Although let down by TE Graham, Pandemic WRs Allen and Evans put up double digits. And, their K Boswell was on fire, kicking 4 FGs. But, the Love Supremes eked out a close one, 95-90.
A tough week 2 for the ic chargers. Neither their runners nor their receivers were able to find the endzone. And, their most yards gained were by RB Cook with just 64. The bright spot for the chargers was QB Prescott's 2 TD passes. Although, he was hindered by his 2 INT's. It also didn't help that the icees faced a Half Smokes team that saw 8 TDs by their offense, including 3 thrown by QB Carr and a rushing and receiving one by RB Anderson. Quite a lopsided outcome with the Smokies more than doubling the ic chargers score, resulting in a 128-60 win.
The Manassholes continue their strong debut season, taking out the DaBruDoggies 121-89. The M-holes can thank their receiving corp for their high score. WR Crabtree found the endzone three times and WR Nelson made it in once as well catching for 120 yards. Coaches Mary and Michael also made the smart decision to put their Raven's DST in the game after leaving them on the bench with a bunch of points in week 1. The BruDogs improved over week 1 thanks to a better effort from QB Brees. And WR Adams put a decent 99 yards and a TD. But, the M-holes were just too much.
Game Of The Week Preview:
Speaking of the Manassholes, they'll face fellow rookie Daniel and The Bug. The Bug have a decent team. The key to a Bug win is getting RB Elliott back to form and overcoming his 1 point effort last week. Also, QB Rodgers will need to shine, as he'll face the top-ranked pass defense of the Bengals. Defense will also play a big role in the M-holes score. In their favor is a matchup against the woeful Jaguars offence. The Manasses have a couple of players who've sat out practice this week. But, they are expected to play. IADP reached out to the Manassholes coaching staff to get a few tidbits about their game plan this week, but they were too busy watching game film. We may check in with them later in the season.
Good luck all! See you next edition!
