Season 6 Finale

Not a really a high scoring Kibble Bowl, but an exciting one nonetheless for the DaBruDoggies and the Mighty Long Dogs. It's no surprise that Mighties WR Johnson put up 225 Rec. yards resulting in a bonus 2. Or, that QB Newton rushed for 60. But, the Long Dogs were held back a little as a result of marquee RB Foster having to leave the game due to an irregular heartbeat. The Brus didn't see much production from most of the team. But, it was their DST's 7 sacks and 7 points allowed that kept this game fairly close. And, of the course it was marquee QB Brees who put up the most points thanks to his 3 TD passes and 446 passing yards. The result, the Mighty Long Dogs won their first Kibble Bowl appearance, 100-90.

So, congratulations to Bud and his Mighty Long Dogs for winning the 2012 BFL Championship!

Bud: All of us here at the MLDs are sad to see the season come to a close. It has been a season of ups & downs. We are blessed to have gotten hot at the right time and rode that wave to the championship. Though the sponsorships and endorsement deals have been coming in at a steady stream, we want to take the time to thank our cross couch rivals, THE Killer Bunnies, for their continued cheering and support of the Long Dogs even though we swept them this year and have been dancing around with the championship trophy with us everywhere we go. We wish our competitors a great off season and hope the 2013 season is upon us before we know it. But until then...
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

Antonio: You know, it's a little embarrassing that the DaBruDoggies have never won the "BruDog" Football League. But, I'm proud to say I lost to a formidable opponent in the Mighty Long Dogs. Congrats Bud!

Ryan: Great season y'all! See you next year!

As always, thanks to all owners for making our 6th season another fun one. I hope to see all of you next season. And, don't forget that you have until our 2013 draft date to designate your two keepers. Also, something else to look forward to. After three seasons with our current division system, we will be mixing up the divisions next year and will likely switch up every few seasons from now on. I'll go into more details on how the divisions will be chosen at the start of our 2013 season.
