Week 6

IADP reporters captured this video at the Bad Ass Weazels' post game press conference last week. Team spokesman David Bennett was asked about the state of the Weazels.

Week 5 Highlights:
The passing game was pretty nonexistent at the Dancer Dome in the game between the Dancers and the Cheesesteaks. The two opposing QB's combined for a total of 9 points. Despite the passing, the Cheesesteaks had the advantage in this one thanks to their receivers with their 2 TD's. And, the Steaks RB's did slightly better than the Dancers on the ground. The Dancers receivers all put up points, but none more than 5. The Cheesesteaks won this one 98-70.

Another one in the win column for the Pandemic of Love. They crushed the Dabalalas 107-64. It was a pretty even game for the Pandemic with no one group outshining the other. On the other side of the ball, it looks like the Las left their starting QB in the locker room. An interesting what if. If their starting QB Bradford hadn't been on the bench, along with RB Bradshaw with a more favorable matchup against the Browns DEF vs Spiller against the 49ers DEF, this game would have been a tie.

The ic chargers almost doubled their opponents score, taking out the Love Supremes 123-67. Unfortunately, the Supies lost star QB Griffin III to a concussion in the third quarter. Also, their receivers didn't give the Supies much of a boost. The ic chargers had a more even game. But, the star was definitely WR Wayne who scored a TD and put 200+ passing yards for a bonus 2. The chargers DST were also solid, scoring 3 sacks and 2 fumbles.

IADP believes that the Wonder Twin Powers' coaching staff may have forgotten to show up to the stadium last week, having started the game with their starting QB and a WR on the bench. The truth is, though, it wouldn't have made much difference, as the two only combined for 17 points. No where near enough to beat their opponent, the DaBruDoggies, who won 86-45. It wasn't a great game for the Brus at all. Case in point, their receivers combined for 11. Of course, the Brus bright spot was QB Brees, who not only scored an impressive 36 points, but broke Johnny Unitas' consecutive games with a TD record.

The tightest game of the season came by way of the Lancelot Links, the Mighty Long Dogs, and their 105 point tie. The Links were well ahead by 42 points going into the Monday night game. But, with talented Dogs RB Foster's still to play, it wasn't a lock for the Links. Foster ran all over the Jets DEF and put up 22 points. Combine that with the Texans DST's 3 sacks and 2 Int's, and the Dogs were able to keep from adding a loss to their record.

You can't always point to a single player as a cause for a loss, but in the case of the Bad Ass Weazels last week, you can. IADP feels comfortable in stating that "RB Johnson single-handedly lost the game for the Bad Ass Weazels." Johnson put up a mere 2 points in the game, but with a fumble, that dropped him to nil. The Killer Bunnies scored their first win of the season thanks to QB Rodgers strong play and WR Cruz, who only put up 50 Yds, but impressed with 3 TD's.

Speaking of the Killer Bunnies, their owner Caren is in our spotlight.

Spotlight:
Caren, after four tries, the Killer Bunnies finally produced a win this season. What did you say in the locker room to motivate your team? And, is this the beginning of a complete turnaround for the Killers?

Truth be told, a variety of different tactics had been looked at, but it really just came down to walking into the locker room and looking each of those guys in the eye and shaking my head with disappointment, a heavy sigh and a tear or two. We are not above a little emotional blackmail in the Bunnies upper admin. It worked this week, but we can't rely on that every week. It's not a complete turnaround, but we will take it one game at a time.

Preview:
The next game for the Killer Bunnies may be a struggle due to the their RB situation. RB Woodhead is going up against the Seahawks DEF, who are ranked 3rd against the run. And RB Morris will face the 6th ranked Vikings DEF. Hopefully, the Bunnies can score a bunch through QB Rodgers, although he is facing the 4th ranked passing DEF of the Texans. Their opponent, the Cheesesteaks, has a more favorable matchup and should be okay as long as their WR's are healthy and play this week.

This is probably a must win for the Dabalalas. We're a long way off from the playoffs, but there comes a point in the season where your chances start to lessen. If the Las want the win this week, they'll need their receivers to step up. The Las will face the Mighty Long Dogs and the #1 fantasy ranked RB Foster. The Dogs have only lost one game, so they know how to win. As longs as they keep doing what they do, they should have no trouble this week.

The ic chargers are steamrolling through the league this season. And, next on the pavement, the Dancers. The Dancers are coming off of a tough loss and need RB Rice to get back to and above the 18 point avg. he had through week 3. The same goes for QB Kolb whose points dropped after increasing each week through week 4. There isn't much advice IADP can give to the ic chargers. They are #2 in points and #1 in the league. They've already figured out the winning combination.

If the DaBruDoggies hope to have a chance against the Pandemic of Love, they'll need their team to be fully healthy. As of this posting, the Brus have a few players who may or may not play. Also, marquee QB Brees is on a Bye. So, the Brus will have to rely on Ponder to helm the team. Ponder is facing the 31st ranked passing DEF of the Redskins, so he may see good numbers. The Pandemic are projecting solid numbers from their running and most of their receiving groups. They also have the benefit of a strong DST in the 49ers. This is definitely the Love's game to lose.

The Love Supremes have lost two in a row, so they are looking to bounce back. They'll face the top-scoring Lancelot Links. Expect big numbers from Links QB Ryan, as he faces the lowly Raiders DEF. The Supies should be okay as long as QB Griffin III plays after his concussion last week, especially since Griffin III's matchup against the Vikings is much more favorable than alternate QB Manning's matchup against the 49er's 2nd ranked pass DEF. They also need RB Lynch, who is dealing with back issues, to be healthy.

The Bad Ass Weazels are having a bad-ass season. Even when the Weazels have scored well, their opponents have scored just better enough. They may have a good chance at winning this week as they face the Wonder Twin Powers, who seem to be having coaching issues these days. The Weazels are fully healthy and should do alright as long as they keep up the numbers that they scored last week.

Good luck all! See you next edition!
