Week 4

No controversial calls in the BFL. No labor disputes either. And, there's no disputing that the Cheesesteaks are the only undefeated team left this season. Or, that last season's #2 team has yet to post a W.

It's that time of year again. Bye week shuffle time. Don't miss out on points because you started a player on a Bye. Make sure to keep those front offices in check.

IADP would like to apologize to Mike and his ic chargers. In the Preview section of the Week 1 post, we incorrectly indicated that the ic chargers had never played in the post season. The chargers were in fact the wildcard seed in 2009.

Week 3 Highlights:
With RB Lynch still to play, the Love Supremes went into Monday night's game down by 6. So, the game was well within reach for the Supies. Lynch didn't have his best game. But, his 9 points were just enough to give the Supremes a 108-105 win over the Dancers. Dancers QB Romo was definately the main contributing factor in the Dancers loss, having fumbled twice in the game.

Another outcome decided on Monday was the matchup between the DaBruDoggies and the Mighty Long Dogs. With the help of RB Brown's 2 TD's and WR Johnson's 146 Yds, the Mighty had a solid 111 points. But, the Brus weren't far behind with a respectible 100 points and two players yet to play. TE Finley and the Packers DST combined for 20, helping to leapfrog over the Mighty Dogs for a 120-111 win.

The Lancelot Links bounced back after their week 2 debacle, beating the Dabalalas 125-97. The Links' Bears DST definitely made the difference with a TD, 2 Int's, and 6 sacks. Also, QB Ryan had a pretty good day with 3 TD's. And, WR Green caught for almost 200 Yds. The Dabalalas' Bills DST also put up a strong effort with 4 sacks and a couple of Int's. Except for the standouts on the Links side, this was a pretty even matchup.

Despite being 3-0, the Cheesesteaks scored over 100 for the first time this season. They did it by beating the Bad Ass Weazels 108-63. The Weazels scored their second lowest score ever. It's not hard to see why. QB Rivers scored 6 points. But, his 2 Int's dropped that down to 2. Their rushers combined for 14. Their receivers for 22. Even K Kaeding got only one opportunity to score. The Steaks did much better, despite QB Vick's 2 fumbles for 6 total points

The ic chargers were on fire last week scoring 128 points, their highest point total ever. They can thank RB Charles for that. Charles not only gained 55 Rec. Yds, but he rushed for 233, earning him a bonus 2 points for those 200+ Yds. On the other side of the ball, Killer Bunnies QB Rodgers' points have been steadily declining, as have the Bunnies' scores. Another unfortunate side to this story is that benched Bunnies' rookie QB Luck outscored his starting counterpart three times over.

What a game over in Love Arena! The Wonder Twin Powers scored their first win and did so against the most successful franchise in BFL history, the Pandemic of Love. This just wasn't the Love's week. Their runners combined for only 11 points. And, TE Bennett scored a TD, but that was pretty much it for the receiving squad, which combined for 24. Plus, to pour salt in the wound, who would have thought that benched QB Schaub would outscore his starting counterpart, future hall of famer Tom Brady, by 18 points. The Twins faired much better thanks to QB Roethlisbergers' 4 TD's, WR Smith's 2 TD's and RB Jones-Drew's 177 Yds and a TD.

Speaking of the Wonder Twin Powers, their owner Jenn is in our spotlight.

Spotlight:
Jenn, your first fantasy football win! And, you crushed your opponent. What was the mood like in the Wonder Twin Powers locker room?

Well I was very disappointed that there were no naked athletes in my locker room but I'll let it slide since I WON! Look out next week cause I'm gonna kick butt and take names. Rrrrrrrr!

Preview:
Kicking butt may be a challenge this week for the Wonder Twin Powers as they take on the ic chargers. The Guru is expecting double digits from most of the chargers squad. However, we at IADP are a little confused about the Guru's 29 point prediction for the chargers' Vikings DST, who are going up against the 2nd place overall offense of the Lions. The Twins may be at a disadvantage with backup QB Carlson having to replace Roethlisberger, who is on a Bye.

It'll be a QB battle over at Supreme Arena with DaBruDoggies QB Brees facing Love Supremes QB Griffin III. Brees, despite the Saints record, has still managed to put up decent numbers. Griffin III is the #1 fantasy ranked QB. So, to predict the win, one has to look at the support squad. Both teams are projecting similar numbers on the ground. The WR's seem to also be fairly even. The winner of this one may just come down to the toss of a coin.

The road doesn't get any easier for the Killer Bunnies. They face the Lancelot Links in week 4. The Links are in the middle of the pack on the ranking scale, but 2nd place in points scored. If the Bunnies want to win this one, QB Rodgers will have to get back to form. With the Packers facing the Saints DEF, this should be no problem. The Links will have no problems as long as they produce numbers like last week's, or even better, like the numbers in week 1.

The Bad Ass Weazels are starving for a win. They're off to a rough start with the lowest points scored total and the highest points against total. And, the road is just as rough this week as they face the Mighty Long Dogs. The Dogs have scored over 100 in every game so far and should have no problems doing it again this week. The Weazels need RB Johnson to put up the sort of numbers he has in past seasons. And QB Rivers needs to bounce back after last weeks poor performance.

The Dancers and the Dabalalas will battle it out this week. Both teams are 1-2, although the Dancers are a lot better than their record and their rank shows. The've scored more points than any other team this season. That means the Las have their work cut out for them. Also, they are facing some injury issues, although it looks like all players involved are likely to play. The Dancers just need to continue their decent numbers to win this one.

IADP's game of the week pits the dynasty of the Pandemic of Love against the current #1 Cheesesteaks. The Steaks don't have the highest scoring offense in the league, as all of their wins were against fairly low scoring opponents. But, they are wins. Thus, the Steaks are undefeated. The Pandemic should be on fire after their uncharacteristic 79 points last week. This game will probably be the Cheese's first true test of the season.

Good luck all! See you next edition!

I know this is said every year, but it bears repeating. Thank you so much Antonio for doing this sport page. It's only one of the reasons that makes our league the best of the elite. The time it takes you to do it, and the care you put into it is above and beyond. Thanks again.

The Pandemic of Love

P.S. Cheesesteaks are going to be eaten like all of Philly is starving.(That was supposed to be a taunt, but it sounds sexual)
