Week 15: Playoffs

An impressive first round of the playoffs with all teams scoring above 120 points. And, unlike last season, the wildcards have been knocked out and we're down to the top four teams. We're getting close! Will the Lancelot Links or the Killer Bunnies make it to the Kibble Bowl for the first time ever?! Will the Pandemic of Love win it all for a second time?! Will the rookie Love Supremes blow everyone out of the water?! All of our questions will be answered in the coming weeks.

A new feature has been added to the NFL Fantasy site. We now have team trophies. The trophies include the 1st through 3rd place teams, regular season point leaders, and top ranked teams. You'll find a link to our league's trophy case on the far right of the menu bar at the top of our League page. Or you can click HERE.

Note From The League Manager:
The NFL Fantasy website has changed again somewhat in that it now has "consolation" games to determine the final rank for all teams in the league. Since we only acknowledge 1st through 3rd place, you can disregard those games. Because of this change, you are still able to add and drop players. However, to keep things fair for the playoff teams, I ask that you don't add players if you aren't in the playoffs so that those players are available for those who are still in the running.

Week 14 Hightlights
Despite an impressive effort by the Dabalalas, the Lancelot Links dominated the game, beating the Las 152-120. The Las had a couple of good performances including RB Jones-Drew and WR Colston, who both had their best games of the season. But, the story here is on the Links side of the ball. The Lances saw all but two players scoring in double digits and saw all but 2 players scoring TDs. Also, Links TE Gronkowski not only set an NFL record, but also broke the BFL TE record. And, to top it off, the Links' 152 points tied the BFL team record.

Bad Ass Weazels QB Romo had his best game of the year. RB Brown also had his best. But, when up against the well balanced attack of the Love Supremes, those accomplishments become an afterthought. Such was the case, as the Love Supremes eliminated the Bad Ass Weazels 135-122. The Weazels scored well thanks to Romo's 4 TDs, one of which being a 50 yarder for a bonus 2. Except for TE Miller's -1 points, most of the rest of the Supies put up good numbers, especially their Ravens DEF 29 points. This is an impressive win in that the Supies have had a bad few weeks leading up to the playoffs.

Preview:
The Lancelot Links are one game away from the Kibble Bowl for the first time ever in their five year history. But, to make it to the big game, they have to get past the perennial playoff Pandemic of Love. After losing to the eventual champion Cheesesteaks last season, you can bet that the Pandemic will be on fire and will do whatever it takes to get their names etched onto the wall of champions for the second time. The Links are already on fire, having won their last 4 regular seasons game (one of those being against the Pandemic) and eliminating the Dabalalas in the first round of the playoffs. Madden sees this one as a tight one. IADP agrees.

The Love Supremes will need to have another killer game like last week's if they expect to get past the total point winner and #1 ranked Killer Bunnies. The Supies have a bunch of weapons including 7th ranked WR Fitzgerald, 3rd ranked K Crosby, 4th ranked Packers DEF, and 6th ranked QB Manning. But, they'll be playing against a Bunnies team that features QB Aaron Rodgers, the #1 ranked fantasy player of all positions by a 64 point margin. The Killers are projected to win this one. Hopefully, the Supies running game will produce and make this one a nailbiter.

Good luck playoff teams! See you next edition!
