An exciting finish to the 2011 BFL season and our highest scoring Kibble Bowl ever. The Killer Bunnies were ahead by 7 points going into the Monday night game. But, the Pandemic still had WR Jones to play. At just 11 mins. in, Jones caught a 21 yard TD pass, thus putting the Love ahead, and resulting in a 126-116 victory. It was a pretty even effort by the Love squad with most of the team scoring in double digits. As usual, QB Rodgers was the standout on the Killers side of the ball. Also, 3rd ranked WR Cruz came strong. But, the most impressive performance on the Bunnies squad was their Buffalo DEF which scored a monster 43 points. Fortunately for the Pandemic, Buffalo's DEF was on the Bunnies bench.
So, congratulations to Ryan and his Pandemic of Love for winning the 2011 BFL Championship!
IADP traveled to the headquarters of the top three teams for one last statement, and to present their owners with their ceremonial checks.
Ryan: It was a great year of fantasy football! Thanks to Kenny for those four weeks I was out of town. See you guys next year! I hope you guys caught the love I was throwing down cause it's a real pandemic!
Caren: The Pandemic were a tough team, but we are very pleased with our season. And, the Bunnies are already looking forward to next season. I am using my winnings to buy a new car. * Note that IADP actually interviewed Caren while at the actual dealership.*
Joey: After a five year wait, I'm elated to finally make it to the top three! Happy New Year to my fellow owners. I look forward to playing you next season!
As always, thanks to all owners for making our 5th anniversary season a fun one. I hope to see you all next season. And, don't forget that you have until our 2012 draft date to designate your two keepers.
